I think it's a really good figure! The add on kit just made it even better but standalone, it's pretty dang good and a must have for SS collectors. I like it over the Satellite SW anyway...

I never had the original Blackarachnia as a kid and have no nostalgia for it, but hot dang if this isn't one of my favorite random repaint/retools I've gotten in a while! The colours work so well with this mold, and the leopard print brazier is so randomly fantastic, haha.

I really like the deco, love the head sculpt, but have no interest in the mold.

It has its flaws and I was on the fence too but ended up grabbing it and it's definitely fun to play with. It helps that I only very recently got into the Beast Wars series, and as such it's been fun recreating scenes from it. My copy of Dinobutt had a really loose floppy foot, that was easily improved using floor polish.

A beast arrived at my doorstep today. Never had a Primal as a kid. Just an awesome retro toy.

Great figure overall. I am not sure why people dislike it.

Picked up Studio Series Thrust and Slug, Kingdom Scorponok and Wingfinger, and MP-52 Starscream.

Slug is nice, chunky, and satisfying to transform. But somehow, the Daniel figure that he comes with is even MORE worthless than the Wheelie that Grimlock came with. At least with Wheelie, you could recreate movie scenes. Daniel doesn't even have a face.

Thrust is actually surprisingly good. I liked the Starscream of this mold, but this version feels alot more solid than Screamer did. On the downside, that cone on the back of his head makes it tricky to move. On the plus side, I love that his colors are a reference to Armada Thrust, rather than the more obvious G1 they could have gone with.

Scorponok is... adequate. I mean, if I'm being honest, Scorponok is easily my least favorite BW character, and his toy wasn't really the best in the line, either. But this IS a successful update. And I appreciate that they actually bothered to give him his Cyber Bee. But he's kinda just what he needs to be, and nothing more.

Wingfinger is growing on me. His connection points are a bit weak, meaning he falls apart kinda easily, and his proportions feel like he was built upside down, but I like him. Also, I appreciate that he's capable of perching. There aren't alot of bird-like transformers, and even fewer among them capable of perching.

And Starscream... whoo, he's quite the unit. Feels solid, poses great, good transformation (I love how the missiles turn into his null rays), and both modes are real stunners. Not much more I can say other than, he's exactly what I've always wanted from an MP Starscream. About a million times better than the older one.
