thanks, order the set. Did check on how much the sword and launcher pack are selling but after seeing the asking price this thing will stay as aile strike lol.

At first I thought “oh wow leftovers from August, huh? Thanks…” But then I saw the release was April 2022 so I figured “oh wow they’re actually going to do another production run just for us due to the Gundam event going on that’s actually kind of cool.” Later that night I got the email newsletter from P-Bandai JP saying they’re doing a second production run slated for Feb 2022 basically it all amounting to us just getting leftovers again…

It just feels disingenuous is all

I was hoping for the Transam 00 Raiser when they first showed the 9/2 Metal Build placeholder on the Gundam Expo website. Oh well.

That’s what they should’ve done!! That would’ve been a great way to end the event, with a bang!
Ah well, I’ll be looking forward to when P-Bandai HK, Taiwan, and Singapore have the event exclusive Raiser go up for preorder with the exception of P-Bandai US :) :) :)

I wonder if Metal Build sells poorly in the US.

Reissues/renewals (Astray variants) tend to shelf warm in the US but when it’s a new mold it tends to sell out (Freedom Concept 2, Dynames R3)

Hard to tell without knowing distribution quantities.

If they want consistent customers they should stop trying to peddle those expensive purses, luggage and other crap and get us more model kits and figures.

My tin foil hat theory has always been that (with some exceptions of course) the things they do put on p bandai us are things they aren't confident will sell enough in Japan alone.

    question:
should i get the current Strike Gundam on sale or should take a gamble and wait for the possible solicitation of the Strike Gundam with the giant butter knife that was shown at TN2020?
I doubt they're going to sell the giant butter knife by itself

If you don’t have a strike aile, then I’d say pick on up. More then likely Bandai will sell a Strike Grand Slam version some day which is what the butter knife is called, but will probably sell the grand slam as an option part by itself as well.

Thanks, but you're better off listing it since i'm still thinking it over and by the time i decide, the 2.0 will already be out

Is there any difference between the first release Strike and the 10th anniversary beyond different tampos?

You don't think the butter knife will be a separate TWE item?

no it's the same one that released in 2018 all did was split them into 2 sperate items: Aile Striker Pack and the Strike Gundam
    10534408p.jpg VS s-l1600.jpg

I feel it doesnt have much going for it compared to the previous packs and sure they did sell the Caletvwlch seperately but considering the different configurations you can get out of it with 1 or more of them, this is just a big sword. I wouldn't put it past bandai if they decided to price it at the same price point as the original Aile Strike Gundam release, the difference being no Aile Striker but big sword is included

I was actually surprised the Calfsandwich was a separate release and pricy as well. I guess I'm thinking never underestimate Bandai when it comes to miking your wallet. I'm thinking they might pair the butter knife with something else and not a Strike MB.

They did release the GN Sword II Blaster on its own, so I wouldn't really put it past Bandai to release the Grand Slam on its own as well.

I do remember that now that you mentioned it. Maybe they'll make it with real metal and it will double as a letter opener. Lol!

Oh yeah I forgot about that! I guess it ultimately just boils down to me not trusting Bandai since they’ll always find a way to piss everyone off :lol

I have tested my moShow version as a letter opener before since its already made out of metal . :)

But because it's made out of metal its a bit heavy for the wrist/arm of a figure to hold it for any prolong period of time
