Etsy shut his store down. People should be able to get their money back when it's after the estimated arrival times. Just open a case or call them to see if you can get refunded before the arrival time.

Umm... A super quick google search using his name and zip will provide not only his address, phone number and trademark registers for "Dawn of Monsters". If you know of certain other sites, which I will not mention here, you can get a fair bit more.

On a COMPLETELY unrelated note I actually have three cousins that live about 15 mins away from him, perhaps its time I head north for a visit. If anyone wants to donate gas money because flat out I'm cheap send it as a gift though PayPal to [email protected]


On a serious note, if you've sent him money for this contact etsy, PayPal, your bank, card provider or anyone else that can help get your money back now. I almost bit but was nervous about the quality and would have gone in on his later projects if this one would have turned out good.

 

Shame you hid the address. I want to mail him a box of dog feces.

 

Now did Etsy close his store or did HE? Take the money and run.

 

I'm going to say etsy closed him down. I wouldn't think they would allow a shop to close with unfulfilled orders. It may be coincide but I did report him to etsy just under 4 hours ago with hope they would auto refund those who bought from him. Probably just happenstance.

 

Still wondering about the shoppify orders

 

contact your bank most banks have a contact number for disputing charges.

contact them sooner than later.

edit. make sure to have the shopify receipt email handy I had to search "Infernus" as doomshroom or shopify didn't return any results in my inbox.

I sent in my chargeback forms to the credit card company. It's past the 120 days time limit but what the heck.

 

Well shit.

Turns out dude is just a really talented scumbag. So many questions for this guy. I just want him to do a Q&A about like, what he was expecting from this. He commited an actual crime, and put his address and name on a letter.

 

Much appreciated man, honestly.

It was clear as day from pretty early on unless you just didn't want to believe it. I really put work into making my points because I REALLY didn't want fellow board members to get scammed out of hundreds of dollars (tens of thousands collectively). I felt bad enough that some already put their money in. I tried to just flat out say what was either factually proven about the scammer or things that would otherwise be statistical anomalies. I get that people WANTED it to be true. I did too.

But I was shocked at the excuses that were being made for the guy after all that I posted. I was even more shocked about the heat that I was taking (I thought about calling those people out in this post now, but there's no need at this point). I can handle people trying to give me shit on a message board, I'm a big boy. But I stopped when it seemed like almost NOBODY wanted to see what was right in front of them. Felt like I wasted my time trying to stick up for board members that were angry at me for doing so, so I dropped it.

Still bummed for anyone that got ripped off. Hopefully somebody saved money after seeing my posts. And if you saw those posts and bought anyhow, I don't know what to tell you...

Still a bummer either way, though. I would have loved some more Beast Wars MP figures too, and I would have loved to support them from a real fan.

 

I think part of the problem was that by the time a lot of the scam warnings surface a lot of people were already in $200 deep on the Infernus figure, which is a darn good motivator for trying to bury your head in the sand and find any sort of hope that it's real. Which is even harder when someone like yourself is actually bringing good, rational arguments for it being a scam. Scary position to be in and definitely gets people on the defensive. I know I was freaked out at the time and thought about getting a refund. Knowing I had the Paypal protection kept me in and in the end, that protection got me the money back, so all is good. I can't remember if I argued against you at the time (from memory, I think I was going against Sammy666 more), but if I did then I apologize, because you were 100% correct.

I just hope everyone who went in on all this is still paying attention to what's going on and gets their money back. Mostly because the thought of Dave/Josh making money out of this scam burns me up.

 

I wonder why people aren’t leaving negative comments on his Facebook page? I thought by now we’d be seeing bad comments in there

on another note, didn’t someone receive an unpAinted one? Was that one any good at all or just another pos like that sh I tty painted one he sent out?

 

Their are/was, they keep getting deleted. So I think he's deleting then blocking those people.
