You mean the spots that the Masterpiece Saber had similarly exposed?

These are the prototypes that are going with them to Boston. They wouldn't announce a stream at the last minute like that unless they had suddenly hit goal.

Though these being ready makes me think they're about to launch the TTMail listing, as this looks much better in terms of promotional material and will restart the hype machine alongside the listing going live.

Will be interesting to see if they update the HasLab page with this by Monday.

Which is why I mentioned, and others pointed out with evidence, the MP did the same thing. And it cost the same as this does despite not including Victory Leo.

Meanwhile, Star Saber himself is built like a brick sh*thouse.

Reminds me of Siege Jetfire in that regard. Just a solid boi.

It is. That doesn't mean they can't show pics with it.

Wow… just wow. Still going to give it a bit before I fully commit to backing it as $300 Canadian it will come to (after shipping and taxes) is not a cheap price. But this… this looks good.
    I really hope it succeeds.

That's not a cut corner, it's due to transformation tolerances.

It is tier 1, it's not included in the base set

I see nothing wrong with the arms on either form, I don't get why people are fully complaining other then "The high end collectable does this much better then the one made for casual collectors does"

hot damn these two are looking good.

the hollows on Saber's forearms are pretty brutal (forearm flaps used to be a thing!) and the weird hollows on the front of Star Saber's wrists are just kinda tacky looking. But neither are anywhere near deal breakers too me.

I've been meaning to watch Victory, and now looks like as good a time as any to dust off that Shout Factory set.

How does Victory (or any of the Japanese G1 trilogy) compare to G1 proper? I've heard mixed reactions from all three, with Masterforce being the weakest.

It's still the first stretch goal. But the idea is to include it in the initial product promos because you want people to get a feel for how big it is. When I saw the pics at first I was skeptical, then they brought it out on the stream and I was like "Oh. Ooooooh!"

Which one is the high end and which is for casual collectors here?

As the HasLab one does Saber's arms better by virtue of giving him articulated wrists too.

Plus, it was VERY clear the design team sees it as a necessary part. I'm assuming the only reason it's a stretch goal is because it was pushing the budget to include it without scale of production bringing down costs.

So does anyone else think something might snap onto the chest of Star Saber? It looks like ports for something to possibly clip onto on the front where Saber's legs are.

MP Saber's wrists are articulated as well. But the backing plate is static, so the articulation's of minimal use while the hands are holding things.

Those are probably the connection points for locking Saber to the V-Star in alt-mode.

Officially backed! Even though I had never gotten into Victory, Star Saber has always been such a cool looking character in my mind, plus it looks like the design team is pouring their heart into this. I also really want to see projects like this continue and hopefully cover new ground like Beast Wars, Prime, or even the movie-verse. VICTORYYYYY!
