MP scale but Fanstoys Jetfire size mp scale, right? I saw this thing is 14" so that's pretty big and unless I'm giving XTB too much credit til they can prove they can step up the quality I dont think the price is that bad considering FT-10 is $299.99

 

I think for what the size will be it's fair, can only really compare to a similar sized bot of limited complexity (I was going to compare to Thomas but that's a triple changer to be fair) like say MP ultra Magnus and phoenix, then the price works and makes sense.

 

I'm interested to see what MMC can do vs. XTB. I just want something that looks good and transforms well.

Even as someone who's been accused of being an XTB apologist I wouldn't go this far.

They have a lot of promising looking renders but they've definitely been known to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The Locke situation never should have happened and definitely could have been managed better. They've made odd deco choices with Virtus and the Youth version of Menasor and Streetwise has an incredibly over engineered transformation that could have been made much simpler by just not doing a realistic interior.

I do dig XTB a lot. I either own or have owned almost everything they've made including 2 different versions of their Stunticon set. I'm excited by all these reveals but they gotta up that quality game. For many of us it's especially frustrating because we know they can do it. They've made fantastic figures with great QC so when they seem to drop the ball on some very obvious issues it can be very frustrating.

I hope this works out great! It looks rad as hell and I'd love to see them knock it out of the park.

 

Absolutely agree. I'm hoping we see a real rebound from them soon after hiccup after hiccup.

Mistakenly clicked mmc thread, and read post that someone mentionsed this xtb is bad blah blah... out of curiosity found their 'g1' version images, what can I say, absolutely two different styles and no point to run comparison at all.
I like what I see and may get it, but hey where is dear springer and groove?

U mean the MMC "g1" version and the XTB version? Yeah, MMC version is much smaller. Kind of like compare MMC Overlord to FH Overlord, 2 different styles while both good toys.

MMC has the small version, XTransbots has the big boy that can take on MP Star Saber. There really is no comparison between the two besides that. It depends on whether you collect MP size, or Chug Size. Not really more complicated than that.

The only reason you would continue comparing other things would be that you don't have a collection to fit this guy into and you are just buying random sizes of cool robots. Which seems to be the case?
