Hasbro partners with Rubber Road to launch merchandise range based on its hit global franchises - Licensing.biz Numskull Designs are a pretty big merch company, doing everything from t-shirts to water bottles to rubber duckies (BW Megatron Tubbz when!?) so this is a rather excellent partnership imo. Great news for the other franchises as well.
the flat fucking circle of Maintaining the Franchise continues apace. nothing is original anymore, it's all just licensed product from the same dozen-odd 20+ year old cartoons fucking pass
Don't understand all the negativity about merchandise. Fans of the various Hasbro franchises have spent thousands of dollars on licensed merchandise over the years. There's an entire range of licensed Hasbro merch on Amazon through a company called Graphics and More. There are two uninspired tees on Hasbro Pulse. Hasbro has done stuff with For Fans By Fans - there was that TF design contest a little while back. Who knows how much people spend on Hasbro-related stuff at Redbubble, RIPT Apparel, etc.? Me, I have licensed tees from MightyFine (bought at Hot Topic, no less), Steve & Barry's (remember them?), plus a Hot Rod tee via Redbubble. I've got a Barricade tee, three Grimlock tees, and a Perceptor tee. I had an Autobot logo on my old car (RIP). Anyway, it's settled law that people like what they like (the Honorable Judge John Hodgman). If rubber duckies aren't your thing, that's fine. (Don't tell Ernie.) What I care about is if the products are good (not boring!) and not outrageously expensive. I wasn't familiar with them. Some of their products are cute. I hope they try to be creative, because just slapping the Autobrand on something isn't going to make me open my wallet.
