I wouldn't be surprised if they release a conronation set along with other little accessories.  

 

Yeah, I intentionally didn't mention that as I've never displayed a Starscream like that - though I did assume others would want it.

That’s strange. I would use the contact option to see what’s up but that usually takes a day or two to get a response. Or maybe check with them in the ShowZStore thread. Hope it’s just an error on their part.

 

An upsized KO of 52 that’s a cm or two taller just isn’t likely at all. I’m struggling to think of any MP that’s been KO’d in that fashion. The closest I can think of is Quakeblast.
Oversizing to a whole new scale is something Wiejiang and a few others did but that was a whole order of magnitude larger.
It’s inevitable that 52 will be KO’d (the profit potential from so many cheap recolour options is obvious) but they’ll be one-to-one KO’s, maybe with a few slight improvements or tweaks of warranted.

 

This. I'd have killed for slightly oversized (by a cm or two in robot mode) MP Inferno and Grapple, of MP-21, anything to get the vehicle scales to match up better. Hell, even of MP-10. Ended up going OS with Prime for vehicle displays but that's way too large to match anything in robot mode. Ditto the Robot Hero OS MP-11 based figures which are awesome... Just maybe an inch too tall to work.

But yeah, no amount of wishing has made any of these happen.

 

Interesting. I just assumed since we've gotten oversized ones like the MPM Optimus Primes and some of the Studio Series ones, and then there's that downscaled MP10 a while back too so I thought a minor upsized KO is possible.

That aside I don't mind the smaller stature of MP-52 either way. Is changing some parts into diecast in KOs a thing though? I feel like 52 needs at least some of it in the legs or feet.

This is not a review but just my first impressions out of the box

SOLID. TIGHT JOINTS.

Feels a lot like TE-01 op leader.

I think a lot of people also failed to mention that this guy is fully painted just like MP-52 but with a matte finish. Yes. All the grey, blue and reds are fully painted.
Which does cause for concern over paint chipping and paint rub. Although it feels a lot more durable than MP-52.

And because its fully painted, the peg for the null rays were so tight to plug into his arm. Was afraid of breaking it.

The waist skirts are also super tight just because of the paint. You can see where it scraped off some paint





FACE SWAPPING WITH MP-52 IS POSSIBLE but since the peg is smaller on MP-52 it just rests there and will fall off with a touch.



This is a realllly impressive figure in robot mode. Bang for your buck. In terms of robot mode, its as good as MP-52
Aesthetically, i personally..... do prefer the look and feel of MP-52 over DS. They both look amazing. But MP-52 feels like it has a lot more character in robot mode.

Although obviously if you were to choose one over the other, i'd go for DS just because it won't kick your wallet in the nuts

 

I'm not that much of G1 MP Collector but just like TE-01 this one got my attention   Just too impressive to pass. Also grabbed the pre-order for IT-01 Megatron so he doesn't feel lonely. Time for some g1 in my collection!

 

Mp52 looks like DS's little brother side by side. Lol

That's...actually not gonna be a problem if one will ever have also the 52, just use some sticky tack if you want to use the other expressions.

Did the blue mark come on the figure or did it rub off the forearms doing that weird arm twist maneuver to get them down to the legs?

 

I havent transformed it yet, it was like this out of the box. Same with the chest and parts where joints rub each other. I kind of wish they opted with non painted parts with the joints just like MP-52. Thats where TT wins

If it's paint rub ill assume it's easy to remove. I hope so.

Yeah, but you have to be careful not to also remove the paint beneath whatever part it rubbed on
