I left mine displayed in the base mode too long and I knew it was already a tight fit so I think between the vacuum of that and just manhandling it at the wrong angle it gave out. Pretty clean cleave too, the round part is gone and the boxier part of the handle looks nigh perfect. Got my prime holding both of them right now in front of the base mode

 

That’s unfortunate, I’m guessing you can’t attach the blaster in base mode now?

 

Plus we can now see that the cannon can be held up by itself.

 

Shaved the peg down to a narrower diameter and filed some grooves in the bottom and up the sides to let air out and vent the peg better

Was that ever in doubt? I would've been shocked if they had it supported only by the toy's grip

 

All the shots until now have been with the turret down or with it being held, so people had their doubts.

 

The original figure had ratcheted turret movement. I would've been SHOCKED if FH didn't make sure the turret was stable.

 

I’m also glad to see this, as I was worried they’d have to keep it hollow for the recoil and LED gimmick. I’m impressed.

Kinda want them to include a smoke effect to put over the cannon, it’d be awesome for photos. I’m still disappointed they never went through with the effect part for Naval Commander when you put his fists together like the weird beam weapon he can do in the show.

I’d love these guys to get an accessory pack in the future with parts for both Optimus and Megatron.

I’ve just realised why the colour is so off yet so right. I think they’ve gone with the PS2/Dreamwave comics shade of green for Megatron. It was a lot darker like this figure in those versions, and I love it even more now.

I can’t wait to see this with the alternate horns and fully painted, wonder if they’ll copy the design for Naval Commanders box?

Who’s Megatron? More like Chadatron. What a beefcake, IMO the best Megatron design, at least in terms of immediate intimidation factor. It’s the horns and shoulder treads.

 

Oh definitely. The shoulder treads wouldn't work half as well on this guy or other designs if it weren't for the horns as well.

 

They just add this kind of verticality to the design, it’ll help a lot when posing him with Optimus in super mode I think. I can’t wait to get that set up in a display. Just need them to do some bloody updated Mini-Cons teams!

 

I really don't know what else to say and not repeat others - just like Naval Commander I love how this guy turned out and I love FH's style and how they "refreshed" those goofy Armada designs   AND like most people here I'm hoping they'll double down on their qc.
But I asked FansHobby on facebook if Meg Tyranno is also going to have swappable eyes (so people can choose LEDs or painted option) and of course their answer was:

 

 

I never thought to ask that, but that’s good to know. I wonder if the LED eye gimmick will still work with the non transparent eyes like they can on Naval Commander? I like the light up function but I don’t want it on all the time. I only use Naval Commanders when I’m actively messing with him but it’s always off on display.

I brought it up yesterday, they’ve said they’ve learned from their mistakes so whatever that means. I’d take it that they’re paying attention to paint and choice of factory.

 

Well their 2 releases after NC have had 0 QC issues and NC was so far their only major QC fuckup on their 19th figure, with NC's main design flaw was the giant combined mode waist swivel, which MT doesn't have. So unless the exact same circumstances happened with NC happen and they decide to not do anything different for whatever reason I think we're in the clear.

That’s true, it’s just one of those things. I was just annoyed it was on the first attempt at an Armada MP and didn’t want the backlash to scare them off of making more. I haven’t had any problems with the combined mode waist swivel, what should I be looking out for?

Oh wow that’s great, I was happy with them how they were but that does look better I think. Anyone noticed the accidental head turn? Creeped me out for a second before I realised what happened.

 

Maybe i'm blind but this looks way more accurate than Prime, I only wish Prime was this accurate.
