Some engineering speculation. Was thinking about Wreck-Gar because of the SS release. Figured they'd want to do the wheels going from the outside to between the arms without parts forming and could use a couple hinges to get it in the right place.

This is definitely... Off topic from the current discussion... But does anyone have a clue who the next MP figure that isn't 86, beast wars, or retool related?

 

Currently known upcoming non-repaint/retool G1 MPs are Raiden and Jetfire.

Man, there hasn’t been any news on Beast Wars MPs in over a year. It hurts..
Nothing 86 planned either, as far as we know.

 

They’re not in competition, what’s happened is that some of the MP designers are also engineering the mainline, with some designs being designed many years after their MP predecessors. So it’s no surprise to see Kingdom Rodimus do a number of things better than MP-09.

With regards to MP Star Saber, I think the hype might entice Takara to at the very least, rerelease it and release an MP Victory Leo.

However while Yuki designed many things well with MP-24, it’s been quite a few years and small improvements could help it a lot. Joints would have to be strengthened in case a Victory Leo is released to combine with it. The sword handle could be redesigned to attach the blade in different orientations and the hands could be redesigned to hold the sword better with 2 hands and the long handle.

 

@Shin Densetsu was your mystery MP one of the ones that has been revealed already?

If the powers to be are listening, there are also probably and a handful of leader characters that need Masterpiece attention, namely Super Ginrai and by extension God Bomber.

 

Ginrai was on the last survey, he's definitely on the table. I guess Raiden is an attempt to get into JPG1 and is probably a start. It would help if they knocked Rodimus or Galvatron out at some point, it's hard to see other "leaders" if they haven't done one or both of them.

Ginrai would be such an epic MP. Would love to see that guy made. Would be expensive though!

I hadn’t heard nor even thought Skyfire was even under consideration so I was pleasantly surprised and shocked to see it was even going into the MP line.
