Yeah, if I pre-order Hasbro stuff from BBTS, I keep an eye on EE's and/or Amazon dates for a better estimate/update.

If it's 3rd party stuff I order from BBTS, I go by TFSource or TCP ship dates... and watch TFSource and TCP get theirs 3-6 months before BBTS, lol.

BBTS, EE & Pulse can't give accurate dates because Hasbro can't provide them
Hasbro can't give out accurate dates because the ships don't know when they're arriving.
The ships don't don't know about arrival because they're not even sure when they're leaving 'Nam.
Basically, no can be accurate right now.
So we wait.

 

Despite this, we will still see several posts per week saying "why is BBTS taking so long?"

 

Impatience
The "I want it now" mentality.
People who don't understand the concept of " slow boat from china".

Not only slow, but many not currently operating due to insufficient crew, port regulations, and restrictions, as well as backup of traffic reaching back to last year, increased overall international shipping demand, and more and more factors. BBTS is pretty quick about shipping out what they have but nothing anyone does can make them receive items that have not arrived yet.

Then under promise, over deliver, and say sometime before 2023.

or just say we don't fucking know

 

Looks like Earthrise seekers will come until November according to EE, let's see if BBTS can get them before

Oof. I need to ship my POL tonight to make sure it doesn't arrive while I'm out of town (I have an item about to hit its deadline which will definitely ship to arrive while I'm out if I let it hit the limit) but I'm very tempted to risk waiting an extra day to see if they'll arrive tomorrow.

I get that they're discounted due to the defects, but 1) how the heck did the feet and head go missing?, and 2) the head and feet are arguably the most important aspects of the figure - the parts that gives it an identity, and the parts that let it stand. Who the heck is going to spend a car payment on a figure that has virtually no display value?

 

the head and feet most likely did not go missing. What’s being sold is what BBTS used to replace someone else’s either scratched, defective, or broken out of the box figure. From what I’ve gathered from other board members over the years, bBTS’s customer service has been really good at replacing defective figures over the years and will open spare inventory they have on hand to part-swap and replace broken or defective parts for customers.

so, i’d assume that what they’re selling here is what’s left after fulfilling a specific replacement.

 

Scorponok plus the two addon kits finally arrived Tuesday. Much worry about jack.

Of course Fedex tracking did get my hopes up falsely by claiming all monday it would arrive monday. 

Yeah, they sent me a replacement arm for one of my Titan Devastator Constructicons after I discovered one had two lefts (or maybe two rights, I forget the exacts). I don't know how they sourced it, but I don't know how else they would have done it other than pulling the arm out of another set.

Shipping problems they likely have no control over aside, they take good care of customers.

 

Just got an e-mail saying Kingdom Rhinox should be dropping soon. Between this and the Ark dropping for me yesterday, looks like BBTS is getting in a decently-sized shipment of new TF stuff.

 

This. A few years back, my entire package of $500 worth of Energon figures was marked as delivered by Fedex but it wasn't. BBTS said they'll ship replacements and claim to Fedex. This was like 15 items. BBTS website sold out most of them. I asked and they said they keep a few on hand just in case shit like this happens. I think the owner emailed me personally. A short while later, they started using UPS.

Funny, about a week later, the Fedex driver knocked on my door asking me to sign some forms claiming I indeed didn't get the package. He said something about his job is on the line etc. I just happen to be on my patio and saw a Fedex truck drop off a package across the street. 1 min later I got an email saying it was delivered. I'm pretty sure the driver delivered to the wrong house. Damn noob...

 

Well hit ship on giant PoL and guess what happens. email saying Rhinox is coming soon. lol Arks are dropping in PoLs too. sigh.

 

Another sacrifice made to allow for more stuff to arrive.
