Yes they seem to! I said I was from the UK in the first email and they just asked for a tagged photo of Jackalman and said they would send it out shortly. Playing the waiting game now!

You can get Jackalman here for £45 if you still need him. Nice price too (I only found after I got mine on ebay!)

Yup, hadn't a clue who he really was (owned the Playmates TMNT toy) until the internet happened and if they're licencing him I'd expect Super 7 to do a version of that too

Just this morning I was telling a friend of mine how bar Star Saber, I've got no transformers preorders or upcoming purchases I want.

I've cancelled MP Thundercracker and Skywarp [don't want the same hassle as with Starscream].

Then I ordered a Cang Toys Rampage to try that set out.

I held strong for about 8 hours all in.

 

When I asked for more Bayverse SS, I didn't mean this  

 

I found the “all new” headline on the announcement a bit insulting. He’s a repaint, with a head swap.

 

Anyone getting the SS 77 N.E.S.T. “Bumblbebee”?

 

I might get it if the Cybertron Bee also goes on sale, because I want the battle mask head to make a Beeverse style Wasp. Paint the head the same colour and then maybe green or purple for the visor parts. I’d digibash for an example but I’m clueless.

I need to stop watching the Victory Saber count, hopefully they reveal the second tier at 5,500 as it’d be halfway funded to the amount needed to give us the base product then. God I need the V-Lock cannon, I don’t want to wait for third party upgrades to get what should be included already as it’s a key part of Victory Saber.

I had a thought, what if tier 3 is a tease of Road Caesar? Maybe an exclusive discount for Starsaber backers for a Commander class 3 pack on Pulse? I really do want it to be a tease of a Deathsaurus, I really do.

 

I've put a pre-order in for Bumble-grey, while not normally a fan of the SS deluxe figures - too fidily and fragile for my taste - I really liked the Jeep mold.

The fact its completely made up tickles me, do Hasbro not understand what SS is meant to be?

 

Ugh, gorgeous. I still can’t make my mind up if the rifle he comes with is fine or he needs a 3rd party one that doesn’t fold up but is more compact.

 

I think he'd look pretty baller with the POTP chonkier two-gun rifle, the stock's a bit skinny looking compared to how hench he is IMO.

 

Ugh lads, perhaps you already know this but Salvage is fucking incredible. I'll talk more about my Toyfu haul tomorrow but suffice to say this guy has kinda blown me away. I'm now REALLY annoyed I can't find my tiny Spike figure that came with my MP 10V trailer. I have a horrible feeling he fell down the back of somewhere.

I know the 'Sparkplug and Son' decal is really more of a reference to Sanford and Son, but to me it just makes Salvage feel like a lost G1 character that kept an eye on the Witwicky family from the comics. And was probably responsible for the mysterious disappearance of 'O'.

 

I don’t own it, but I’d love to try since that one can split in two like the MP. I’d rather have had that over the folding one we got with Kingdom. I am tempted to try and track one down on eBay now that’s loose.

The only thing I’m still pissed about is that there’s no place for him to use it when on the turret like the MP. All they had to do was add a 5mm on the top of the black part, could have even plugged in a Firedrive instead. I also wish he had a pop up targeting screen on the turret or even just a decal.

While I like the mold, in fact I'd love if they could figure a way to make a Beetle Bee with that engineering as it's far more intuitive than the Beetle version, I doubt I'd get him, except possibly to repurpose as a ZomBee on account of grey repaint and my canon for Revenant Prime being he has conquered/attacked several realities along with his master   totally not so I'm not limited by who I can have in his army!

To be honest, I'm more intrigued by what he represents as he potentially opens the floodgates for other recolours/reimagined SS figures - a bit like the SS Selects line I've suggested before. Like for example in the Live Action SS Speculation thread I've previously suggested they could redeco the Arcee Triplets in colours based on concept art/animatics for Rotf which had several other bikes including ones in green and orange and silver etc. I also wouldn't say no to a blue 'Glyph' version of the Cybertronian Bee/Cliffjumper mold just so I can have a trio of them  

For me it's more that familiarity is one of several factors I take into account. The other is if I think the figure looks cool and/or fun. Like, I barely remember many G1 characters but I've bought a lot of them in Siege (and a few in ER) and other toylines because the figs looked cool and/or fun. I've no idea who Snapdragon is but he's a cool spaceship and Kaiju guy. No idea who Blackshadow is but that colourscheme and the jet/tank thing and the bot mode are neat. This approach is in full effect for basically every Bayformers figure I own - I don't count my Bumblebee figs as Bayformers FYI - as I couldn't care less about the source films for those, I got the figs because they looked cool and are fun rather than any connection to the characters and made my own headcanon for them. There's plenty more examples too.
On the other hand of course there have been figures I might have overlooked but then got attachment to because of media such as Siege Hound where I decided I wanted one after his admittedly short appearances in the Netflix show. Or me warming to Siege Chromia after the 'flix show.
The problem with Star Saber specifically for me is he looks cool and might be fun, but is he nearly £200 cool and fun, especially as I don't have the sentimental connection there? That's what I'm struggling with.


On a slight tangent, it occurred to me the other day you could potentially headswap Tigertracks and add some black tripes for a kinda G1-ified version of the more modern approach of Bee as a Sportscar what with his yellow and black colours  

 

 

From what I understand, they only bought MGM's share of it, the Broccoli (?) estate aka the estate of Bond's creator still maintains their controlling share in the property and have final signoff control of everything.

Edit: I've still not 100% made a decision, but hypothetically do you guys think £35 including postage would be a fair price to sell Hotlink minus the Battlemasters and Blast FX? I've got one going spare which I had wondered about using for customs but at this point I've got so many damn Seekers I'm increasingly inclined to move him on.
I'm pretty sure he cost me about £40+ when I first got him so knocking a bit off for the BM and Blast FX seems pretty fair right?
