No hasn't been confirmed. Just an observation, they are clearly copies or very close replicas of MP52 faces. So more than likely the extra faces will come with SW/TC.

 

I never used them before and didn't know if they offered free shipping or not to the USA.

I'd still venture to guess that if you looked at your joints, they'd have the cracks, even if they haven't crumbled yet. Mine does and I haven't had any issues with it either. That's to say you don't have any problems with it until you do. The reality is, the VAST majority of people who have bought that figure in particular have awful issues because of it's design. It's an absolutely incredible figure if it didn't fall apart on most people who bought it.

My point was, selling your known great figure before you know if this figure has mass issues is premature. I think that point is still valid, regardless if you or 10 other people (myself included, it seems) got lucky and got "good ones". Imagine selling your BA Prime because somebody puts out what you think is the "definitive" version....only for the arms to fall off, like the Zeta Blitzwing.

In the end, people can buy or sell what they want, and I'm cool with that (not that it matters). I just wanted to put out that some people might want to think about getting rid of something before they really know what they're getting.

 

Actually, I was going by a post on the Acoustic Wave thread that listed him as 9 inches but I see might have been wrong about the height of MP13, so they might be the same height after all.

 

MP-13 isn't in scale with MP-36. It's too tall, so that throws that comparison off anyway (strictly speaking it should be around the same height as MP-29, but I know most people wish that figure was taller so...).

Yes, as I said it's illustrative. I didn't scour the series looking for comparisons, I just happened to be watching that episode and saw that he appeared much closer to MP-52's height in that shot (even allowing for perspective). I'm reading pages of people claiming that it's definitively too short, when there are probably just as many shots where he's shorter and dark grey as there are where he appears taller and lighter grey (almost white).

This isn't me telling anyone they're wrong for preferring DS over MP-52, rather just pointing out that that the latter isn't technically too short. When stood chest to chest his intakes are just a little above the top of Meg's chest, which is roughly how it is on the chart. Again, I know a lot of people don't care about the chart, but it exists as a guide and it's clearly what Takara went for with its figure.

It doesn't mean one is better than the other. I'm not a Takara fanboy. I don't hate 3P. It's just an observation that happens to align with my personal preference. Strictly speaking Starscream should be like two or three times the height of all of them given the size of his alt mode...

 

Ah no bother. The improved toon aesthetics are a big enough draw for me anyway, although that would have been the icing on the cake.

Do you have a source for this? Return numbers from stores? A number of emails with complaints to stores? A link to TT's website citing any of these numbers that make it a VAST majority? Anything at all?

All of this assuming you realize TFW IS NOT the entire TF fandom that exists in the world. My joints have no cracks since release date but I guess I'm extremely lucky and the 0,00000001%.

Fuck it…ordered…haha. This will actually be my first MP Decepticon! Hopefully it doesn’t turn out to be a flaming pile of shit! I watched Ben’s vid last night, and while the transformation looks a bit on the fiddly side, there appear to be some innovative things going on there. Plus, he cleans up really well in both modes and has articulation out the ass.
