Yes! Now GT needs to do the Aerialbots so we can finally have all the G1 combiner teams at Warbotron scale.

As much as I would love to see this, I think that this might be GT's swansong. They've struggled to get this out, even with multiple reissues of other figures to raise finances; and their other ventures (T-beasts and MP scale IDW) haven't been as popular as hoped.

I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

Hard to say their other stuff hasn't been popular when Megatron had a second run, with modifications.

I don’t disagree with your general point though. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last GT product.

But it's also entirely likely that GT people are already working for/with other 3rd Party companies.

That's true, X-Transbots is the best hope now for a set.

I wonder if they'll do another Gravity Builder re-release as apparently that has sold really well for them over the years.

I'm taking hope for the best but expect the worst approach when it comes to this set.

Megatron’s only Modification is slightly longer wing tips. And DX9/UT are completely out of the game yet are re-issuing their stuff. Re-issues don’t gauge success very well. Just that the company wants cash.

But yeah, taking 5 years to complete a combiner isn’t the sign of a healthy company.

If the delay is due to funding issues, then this right here might be the number one reason.

I've stated this somewhere on this board before but I'll say it again, when people purchase/support KO products, they are really just hurting the hobby. KO companies have zero design and R&D experience so if a company like GT goes out of business can we rely on Jinbao to create original designs? We all know the answer to that...

Large companies like Takara can absorb a slash in sales but not small third party companies.

Is it me or is Hotspot's blue a different shade of blue compared to the previous alt mode pictures that came out? I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that I think this Hotspot might be fresh of the press.

The number one reason Is a person that was never going to buy the original is going to buy a KO that will probably release after the original dries up it’s stock?

It seems that the hips were remolded, thank God... I didn't like the locking mechanism they were using just to avoid putting a ratchet joint in there.

That is what I think about KOs too, they hurt the hobby.

Lets keep it 100 now, this isn't what is happening. For example, I still see Feral Rex for sale. If you support KO, the reason most likely isn't because there aren't any for sale, rather because you cannot afford it.

Edit: I don't mean to offend with what I stated above. I'm pretty sure we can all agree that this hobby is expensive but that doesn't warrant the excuse to purchase KO.

Oh trust me, I can afford it. (At leas I hope I would considering Haslab Unicron is chilling next to me) I just couldn’t give any less of a shit about the scale. Jinbao oversizes the figures, so that’s why I’m interested. OS KO’s are a whole other thing that don’t steal their market. Same people buying MMC’s feral rex won’t be buying JB, and vise versa. If they want my money they should be making stuff at a size I care about.

Ok, so we know the rest of the team is about carbot height, is Hot Spot closer to Prime height or Gravestone height? Or maybe Grapple/Inferno height.

Not sure why you think they’re carbot height. The XTBs (that’s Fuzz on the left) are slightly taller than MP carbots.

The GT Streetwise (painted up as Getaway because I’m brilliant and GetRightRobot is ultra talented), as you can see, is significantly bigger.

Despite that, I think XTB’s combiner will be way bigger than GT’s fwiw.

I guess that is my thinking of it, unless the torso is super squatty it is going to be taller than their Gravity Builder.
