They are diecast. They were plastic on the original Soars, but the reissues had the diecast pieces pre-installed. No need to push them in if you don't want to. I don't, and it doesn't really affect anything.

Not very, but they felt as though they flexed a little. Maybe I'm wrong.

If you still need Soar, save yourself even more money by getting it from Terry ;) . I'm still kicking myself for paying $300 for this guy, even though he's a nice figure.

$400 for a premium version of a not extremely popular repaint of Swoop and $400 also for Snarl were both beyond fucked. Not to mention if you look down in their FT section, worst of all, they once charged $600 for Grimlock.

is there a trick to getting his legs to bend up for dino mode? that secondary joint above the knee that you are supposed to use simply will not budge on mine and I've even tried loosening the screws to the point they were falling out.

To get mine to Dino mode, I removed the inner spring on that joint.

I had that same issue on mine.

    Hope this helps.

Based on what I've seen on YouTube, this was a common issue on original releases (although I don't have first-hand knowledge of that). One leg on my re-issue is perfectly fine, one does not bend at all. Advice online that I've seen is to do one of the following:
    1) Trim the spring a little bit so that the little piece of plastic that gets pressed into the ratchet on the leg isn't pressed into it as hard, or
    2) Trim or sand the physical pieces of plastic (either the ratchet's teeth or the piece of plastic that gets pressed into the ratchet) so that they slip past each other easier, or
    3) Add some lubricant to the joint so that the ratchet pieces slide over each other easier

Option (3) is the least damaging one, the only one that you can undo. I haven't tried any of this myself yet.

So mine just came in and I think he's pretty great. He feels very ahead for his time. If this was a modern fanstoys release, his arms would be single jointed and only hit 90 degrees, likewise with his legs, no ankle rockers and there definitely wouldn't be a waist swivel. Only issues I have with mine is that they went a bit heavy handed on the factory lube and he feel really greasy in hand. Upside is that I have no issues with the tolerances.

Does anyone know whether it's possible to get him to grip his weapons without his thumb being folded in? It's not a deal breaker by any means but it's a bit of an odd design choice to give him articulated fingers and not have a hinge on the thumb joint.

Speaking of which, my reissue came with a plastic thigh piece. It doesnt clip at all. The one on my red are replacement diecast and tabs in pretty well.

Strange. Pretty sure they're diecast on mine. Took a bit of force to clip in the first time but thankfully they're easy enough to get out if you just wiggle the silver thigh piece behind the clip.

Anyone have any tips on how to move the second knee joint that allows the legs to plug into the back? Both of mines won't move at all and there is no proper leverage on them. Honestly feels like they're going to break if the budge

Did you undo all 4 of the hooks that attach to pivot point on the alt mode feet?
