I don't think we know for sure that Override is a Hot Rod retool, it just seems likely since that's the only Voyager car mold and chances of her getting a new mold are probably low. We also don't know whether they'll have the same pricepoints as the Netflix line, only that they have the same assortment of size classes.
So Override is confirmed Voyager? If so, I don't think she shares a mold with anyone. Or at least not in a conventional way. Or she'll be a Silverbolt retool like everyone else is.
I think so? Or at least very heavily implied to be. IIRC Scourge is the only figure in this subline who's actually really been confirmed. Maybe Blurr too? it's hard to keep track, with how cryptic the leakers are being about it. Have they even said anything at all since our last guesses?
I didn't think anything could be more wrong than Hot Rod.. If they turn Springer into a red fembot, it needs to be shatter.
Override from Springer would be weird, but not 100% due to the front of his altmode being kinda similar to override's carmode front, although it's a stretch. Unless there's some other Legacy car voyager we don't know about, it's almost safe to say she'll be a hotrod retool. Speaking of the bikeformer, if it is indeed road rocket from Legacy Arcee: I can see arcee's bike front/robot mode back wheel being able to split up over the shoulders to look more like the original road rocket, or alternatively have it designed for RR and then make Arcee the pretool as a more G1-esque TFP Arcee, following what we've heard about Bulkhead and Knockout. Looking at RR also reminded me there's another bikeformer who has wheels over its shoulders:
If they wanted to be lazy, evac from springer, but for scourge, id either want a new mold or a TFP predaking 2023/2024 that then gets reused as scourge also i really hope that megalo and nitro have the planet keys, then it gives me hope for the other 2 with evac from springer he has the rotor's that can homage the OG design, same with the guns being on the back ports
Well you could (in theory) give her new swords that plug into the side of the body in alt mode and form wings rather than propellers
If I were to think of a helicopter for Evac then Spinister would be a no-brainer rather than springer - he would work better for a G1 BB Dropkick.
If Road Rocket is a Prime Arcee retool who splits the back wheel, that means he'll end up as a motorcycle with four wheels in robots mode and I love how ridiculous that would be.
I think one of the Energon Monsters will do nicely I love this idea! It gives Arcee the leg wheels from her Prime design...and Roadrocket his wheel-wings. Can't wait to see Arcee so we can put this to rest.
If they're going to make a new Evac and not give him his own mold, they should have him share a mold with a new Sandstorm. Sandstorm would be a better base for him than Springer since he'd turn into an Earth helicopter, and a better base than Spinister since his helicopter mode looks more like a civilian model and since he'd presumably be Voyager class. They could either keep the dune buggy mode (seems like an appropriate vehicle for a rescue team after all) or ditch it to improve the helicopter mode. For Dropkick and Shatter, I know a lot of people wouldn't like this, but I'd honestly be okay with getting rid of the triple-changing aspect and making Dropkick from Spinister and Shatter a repaint of a hypothetical new Voyager-class Windblade (although since they'd both be mostly red and black, I don't know if Hasbro would go for that). Edit: TIL Sandstorm's original toy was actually based on the MH-53 Pave Low, Blackout's alt mode in the 2007 movie. Which, if they keep for a hypothetical new CHUG Sandstorm toy, would be appropriate for Evac as well since he got made as a Blackout repaint in the 2007 movie line.
I get the feeling that Cybertron Override being a voyager must be tied to another use of the mold. On her own, there's no scale or complexity factor that necessitates her being above a deluxe. Which I suppose makes the SS86 Hot Rod retool theory make some sense. In the end though, if perfect accuracy for UT characters is not being enforced things are pretty hard to predict. Likewise, Hasbro's retooling/idea-reuse ability is so off the scale these days that predicting is all that much harder.
