Hm Hound is not quite perfectly lined up to Star Saber. Hound is around 5 inches tall and seems to be about half of a Star Saber.

The 8.5 inches specifies it is talking about the V-Star Jet and not the robot mode.

I do not yet think that we have enough information to fully confirm it’s height.

I am not saying you are wrong, just that I am not confident in its height 100% but am leaning more towards the 9-10 inches as of now.

Googled it and apparently Overlord is nine inches, but I don't own it and I mostly use metric (because it's better). But they look at about eye to eye.

This is why it is hard! Because I also do not own Dai Atlas and found the same information. Also not all of Star Saber is in frame.

The only thing out of frame is Star Saber's feet. In that segment you can see them poke into the frame for a moment so there's probably not much "height" disparity between him and Hound, and I'm sure they tried to keep them level in that shot for the comparison. There's no way the 8.5 description is for the jet mode, they pretty much always use that description on Pulse to tell us the height of the figures. A vehicle mode also wouldn't be described in height anyway, but length. It's likely they're talking about Saber's armored up for using the V-Star Jet as Star Saber's robot mode

What third stretch goal? The page only lists two: Nova and Silver Surfer.

It might add at most a head, but probably less.

Best bet is 8.5 to 9 inches, on par with overlord/Dai-Atlus and another 3 or 4 with the leo boots to be jetfire height.

Can I just say, regarding the scale arguments, this path leads down to people demanding Chromedome, who turns into a car, absolutely towering over a ridiculous number of characters despite having an alt-mode that should for intents and purposes be in line with that of Sideswipe and the like. Now, I absolutely know there's people who are going to be demanding all of the TR figures redone as Voyagers but, like, do we really need a Voyager Chromedome just because the TV show made him Optimus' size with no regard to vehicle scale? Am I the only one who thinks the carformer should maaaybe be smaller than the firetruck that is Inferno? Or the hilarious conversation I had over in the 3rd party forum where someone insisted that Minerva had to be the size of MP10. Just a car the size of a truck.

I'm fine with a Star Saber who's small enough to interact favourably with other figures, scale be damned. You scale lovers can have your scale but the concept of cars who tower over firetrucks is not for me, and the fact this was even a selling point for Maketoy's Cupola I still find ridiculous

Like I and others mentioned before, yeah, scale got ridiculous fast in the Japanese sequel series, with the Headmasters all being Optimus height and getting worse from there. Like, if we go by the listed numbers on some of the JG1 scale charts we do have, such as the Masterforce one, the Headmaster Jrs, like Minerva as you mentioned, are all 7 meters tall, a full meter taller than Optimus, which is absurd on the face of it. That's why I think keeping the scale relations between JG1 characters, while pulling all their actual heights down to a far more reasonable level, is the ideal.

Soooooo, yeah....... I had too much time on my hands and the result is this rough height estimate. Allowing for the vagaries of multiple points of camera perspective, it looks Victory Sabre mode is 9.5 inches tall, 10 if we're lucky.
Kinda hoped he was at least Jetfire height but oh well.

I really hope those cannons could get filled in. The underside is really too visible from many angles not to be an eye sore. Other than that I thinks its pretty cool. Im buying one or even two if they fix those damn cannons! ;) :D

I recalled some of you mentioning Crowd Funded Galactus, according to my local supplier from SEAsia, its ETA 3rd Q3 2022. Maybe SS around that time next year?

Apparently the target date for this is December 2022. It's weird that it's not listed on all versions of the HasLab page, but someone posted a screenshot from the EU Mobile version of the page when the date subject last got brought up, which plainly states that as the intended release date.

It's possible that that version of the site is erroneous, though. So just wait for further confirmation, I guess?

I could also see a case for a floating timeline, depending if one of the higher stretch tiers might actually affect how they tackle this project.

What about the other Headmasters that transform into a futuristic jet, helicopter and tank?

Anyway, between Star Saber and the Beast Wars characters it should be clear by now that Hasbro is willing to retcon the size of the characters as they see fit, and we should keep that in consideration when speculating about future releases.

Well, first keep in mind that the toyline scale is primarily concerned with relations between robot modes and not vehicle modes. Second, if we go by Sunbow (which Hasbro has since the start of Siege) in The Rebirth all of the Headmasters were no taller than Hot Rod. Seeing as Hasbro is most likely to go with that rather than the Japanese Headmasters series "you all get to be as tall as the two Primes" nonsense their heights in the current scale should be large deluxes. Considering the Titans Return versions are only slightly off from being just that it's not hard to see why Hasbro reissued them and considers them good enough for the moment. My guess based om Star Saber is that all the JG1 characters will be scaled down to fit better with their US counterparts. I mean... since @Jeddostotle7 pointed this out above... does anyone really think Minerva should be taller than Optimus?

I'm automatically in for this. Some of the modes do look a tad goofy (Saber visually doesn't LOOK as nice as the MP) but from what I'm seeing all modes are well articulated and we're actually getting the full Victory set. Heck if I'm seeing it correctly they ACTUALLY put in the full brainmaster gimmick with the master having the face; makes a potential Road Caeser more exciting (and if they do Big Motervator I'll laugh really hard and buy it too)
