I'm on @orangeitis side with scale. For some reason my brain just doesn't accept mixed scale. It just isn't right for some reason.

For me, 1:35 is the way. If it can't be done I usually won't bother getting it.

 

This post may explain *some* of my scale obsession.

 

I'm fine with the beastie boys being regular cybertronian size but I'm not a fan of life-sized alt modes. Other than that, if it feels right it is right

 

Only time you'll see me be scale crazy is if they're in scale, not to imaginary robot mode sizes that they were only for like a frame, but to a realistic vehicle scale.

They do that and I'll make @orangeitis look like Sunbow in regards to scale.

 

I do hope you'll get your 3mm-tall Soundwave figure, bud. I really do.

 

Why would a jet or truck be 3mm tall though? I dont want a collection at that small a scale.

Why do people always assume when I say accurate vehicle scaling I mean G1? I'm more than willing to see new designs with proper alt mode scaling in mind.

I mean, most characters in the TF franchise aren't even on scale charts, so I expect that it's an inevitability. I doubt they'll veer much from 1:35 for most figures though.

And I've been settling for unscaled figures for 35 years up till Siege. Not sure why you think any more years will bother me that much if that does happen. Disappointed? Yes, very. Mad? Not at all.

 

Or have some actual size differences between characters, and use vehicle mass in more creative ways that "vehicle stands up" so we can still have plenty of variety in terms of alt modes.
