It's one thing to be sad that G1 Jetfire or Metroplex have yellowing, 30+ years later. I do understand the cause of the yellowing. It's another thing altogether that Siege Jetfire is yellowing less than 2 years later, or that Cyberverse Arcee is yellowing when some of them are still on the pegs! And don't tell me that nothing has changed; the number of people seeing yellowing on Siege Megatron seems anecdotally higher than, say, a TF Animated toy. Or Vector Prime. You go look at recent sold auctions for Vector Prime and on most or all of them he still looks crisp and white. Why would a toy from 15 years ago look great, while a much more expensive toy from 2 years ago is already yellowing? Something has changed for the worse, whether it's a factory issue, plastic material choice, chemical composition, etc.

I have to believe that if Hasbro wanted to fix this (aka if there was enough impact on their bottom line), they could talk to their factories and identify why it's happening. But if people just accept it as inevitable, and no one is vocal about it, then we will keep getting toys like Siege/Earthrise Megatron that yellow and brown and look horrible. Can you imagine how angry people will be if they back this Haslab project and then a year from now, Victory Saber starts turning yellow?

Really want to back it but for some reason they chose ebgames as the only Australian place to get it which for some reason are charging au$370(USD$270) for this. I'll wait and hope the price goes down or some where else sells it for a reasonable price.

Didn't people start tracking down social media accounts of random Hasbro people to target for harassment campaigns?

No? Because I know it's a risk? And it would be if it were a retail figure...

Don't get discouraged though. Apparently online retailers get their orders in around the last week. I'm hoping for fully funded before then, with the e-tailers pushing into stretch goal territory ;)

I really don't know why they've moved away from doing flaps for some of those. I mean, it might not be in the current budget for them for deluxes and voyagers (which is crazy cuz they used to do it on deluxes when they were $12.99) but it sure seems like it oughta be somewhere in Victory Saber's $180 budge to cover those gaps. (not a deal breaker for me, but it'd obviously be way better with them covered.)

My best guess is that his hands are too large for the flaps to properly cover them without giving the forearms too much bulk which may in turn hamper his connectivity with the V-Star. No real basis on that though, just a guess

I thought they have to extend the Unicron funding period. Honestly, that figure looks beautiful, but it was too rich for my blood at the time. For the questions as to how the crowd funding works, Lego has done something similar a couple times with bricklink.com and it works out very well. This is my first time trying Hasbro. The thing I love about Hasbro's is, I don't think there is an upper limit and since the Razor Crest they have these tier goals. Restarting my Transformers collecting in the late 90's I only ever pulled the trigger on a couple Victory characters. I think these seem a little small, but I am looking forward to them.

You’re always gonna have that fringe element of any fanbase or heck fringe elements of the internet who take things too far.

man, I feel like those are 2 huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge gaps (particularly if you were a Marvel G1 fan) that it's hard to believe they haven't filled yet.
Especially the way they've teased around Bludgeon.

I think any repaint would be a safer bet than something like Victory Saber here. Especially since European/South American variants are now fair game, apparently. I can see Diaclone/Microman/variants/post-G1 redecos filling out exclusive lines, exclusive sets, Selects releases, and the occasional mainline addition like Road Rage.

    Yes and no...
My only kid is 21 and he lives at home but he is not a strain on us; he is full time employed, his car is paid for (by hisself) and we barely even see him cuz he works so much.
I just personally dont like spending "X" amount when it isnt worth it in my eyes.
