Besides the chopped smoke stack (US), MP 01 is still on point! Imposing size, working pistons, non-frustrating transformation, ample diecast... Hastak was showing off out the gate!  

 

MP01 is an exceptional piece. We will probably never see anything like it again. The size, materials, details, and sophistication all make it extremely impressive... hard to believe you could buy it at retail for under $80 back in the day. All MPs could only be a let-down after that.

One of my favourite small details is the suspension on the ankles that causes the vents in his shins to open when you apply downward pressure. It's a pretty amazing small touch.

those are the breastforce versions of the combiner wars molds! (except guyhawk). very interesting. I wonder if they'd fit the oversized hot spot mold or the dinobot molds...... nice finds. I know that movieverse one is ratchet but the specifics elude me.

Their listings are on the 1st page of the company's product page for transformers, so maybe they're new?

I wonder how's the quality like. They seem OK looking from outside the box, doesn't look like shampoo bottle plastic, from what I can tell. Don't recall seeing any combiner hand/feet though, I don't know if they're hidden in the box or not.


Their repaint of T30 Legends Megatron also looks interesting, although I'm not a fan of the mould:

And the widespread MV4 KOs. I think they order/commission products from other factories and mainly sell them overseas, that ShanTou Deng Hai area is a mess of uncertified KO toy companies . Their profile makes no mention of Mainland China presence either. So I don't think you'll be able to find them from Mainland sellers.

Those CW tanks are cool, are the CW-sized and compatible or upscaled?

 

I think I've also seen some of their simple robot toys being sold at our neighbourhood hardware shops. Their website is geared towards bulk purchase for retailers. I get no hits when I search their company name on Taobao, so I guess you're right. I wonder if they sourced those OSKO Hasbro figures that I found from another Chinese company, and those are using a different name on Taobao.

Upscaled, but not sure about those combiner ports. I'm quite tempted to buy 1 or 2 to try, especially if those ports are compatible with the Hasbro ones. I can't tell, they seemed oversize, but I'm not sure.

 

It's great. Imagine the official release but with MPM levels of quality control. Meaning high quality but if you're unlucky, you'll get loose joints or joints that are worryingly tight. Nothing you can't fix.

No simplifications, all the gimmicks are there. If you're a cheeky boi you can use the bootleg as spare parts for the official MP01.

 

I unfortunately have developed a bit of a military Transformer fetish, and that Ratchet…..


I will pay big bucks for that Ratchet.

 

English packaging so likely overseas market only items. But some stuff on their site I already have so maybe it's just a matter of time. I sent pics to a bunch of my suppliers.  

 

I see that the 4 CW KO figures have the combiner gimmick, but where is the five part of gestalt?
