"I'm sorry Hound, it's my fault. I shouldn't have fired on Megatron..."

"Haha, you... shouldn't have missed, you mean?"

Cliff and Hound, man... Some of the all-time greats. Love the Ark crew to death.

Unlike many other bots he survives being swallowed by Unicron and lives until S3 and beyond.

If he doesn't want it, that's ok.

The most important thing is that he's let us know

Haha I see the front-pagers who were never gonna buy this anyway have once again dropped in to remind us all of what idiots we are. I look forward to hearing about how awful the chibi mode is and how he has kibble for the next several years as I happily post pics of him on IG!

New prototype pics look great I love the red and the side mirrors! Can't wait to have this guy racing along with Hound. The wheel rims are a good sign that the licensing is set I think? Hopefully...

Now I have to go into several CHUG, Movie and 3P threads to tell everyone they are stupid if they buy those figures because they are not good cartoon accurate versions and have non-chibified alt-modes....oh wait no I don't care what other people like and have actual things to do in life. :p

Pff not caring what other people like? Pal you've come to the wrong place!

It's actually been confirmed that this is not a test shot but a hardcopy, so sadly the wing mirror might not be on the final version as the green test-shots are more recent. The hubcaps definitely seem like a good sign that it'll be licensed, and though I thought they looked a little weird at first I do think they look great in colour!

Speaking of hubcaps, who else is in for Masterpiece Hubcap?

I don’t see them calling anyone idiots. It’s ok for them to voice their opinion which so far hasn’t violated any rules.

As for me? This looks really good. The car mode is amazing.

This just made me sad as my Hound is forever in robot mode. I follow you on instagram, so I look forward to the pics

Hmm that's weird maybe the mirrors didn't quite fit for robot mode. Bee doesn't have them I know...oh well guess we'll find out soon enough!

MP Hubcap is a little out of my collecting purview but I would probably get him anyway. I only got the g1 toy in 2018!

Hey thanks I appreciate the follow! That's funny my Hound is (likely) forever in robot mode until a reissue comes along, in which case it'll be the robot and my current will be the Jeep. Unless I get really inspired for vehicle mode pics before that happens. I brought Hound on vacation with me and he survived the trip so far...even posted some pics yesterday! :)

I mean, I will say that. The more that are available, the easier it is to get one. So I hope plenty are made for us

Is TT MP Cliffjumper alt mode cartoon accurate? I guess but it's a poor representation. Every cartoon cell is different so there are literally 100+ images to select.

But am I alone feeling that Takara makes some really odd decisions of which screenshot to select in their representation? This particular Cliffjumper is way more squished then I typically seen CJ in the cartoon. And I also remember some cells where his hood was elongated too much. MP Ironhide's long face immediately comes to mind as another poor TT selection. It just feels like they pick random screenshots and not necessarily cannon screenshots that represent the figure. Fans Toys Cliffjumper alt and robot mode is not screen accurate, but probably represents the figure better in most fans' mind. Xtransbots has a great realistic mode. And MMC has good blend of both while capturing homage.

I would really like to be a fly on the wall in the TT design and concept meetings. They probably look at hundreds of images. There must have been better ones. Why this crappy one?

    Seriously?
This is less squished than the toon or toy where both wheel wells are basically touching. If anything its based on the choro q with some differences to match the toon

Do transformers test shots normally have that much of a gap between sections? Not putting it down (well not yet), I honestly do not know the answer to this question. Is this the way the mold will most likely turn out or will it be fixed?

MP-45 Bumblebee and Cliffjumper alt modes are based on the Choro Q toys just as the original Microchange toys were, with a few judicious concessions to the cartoon models. Similarly, non-minibot MPs are based on real world vehicles just as the original Diaclone/TF toys were, with a few judicious concessions to the cartoon models.

Yes, prototypes are often like this; no real bearing on the final product.

Summary of the Figure King No. 283. Only Masterpiece information is regarding Nightbird and Crosscut, with most of the photos being ones shown before: フィギュア王No.283

So no Cliffjumper if people were wondering.
