I have the original O&P Big Spring. Liked him better than all the other offerings. Not overly complex like some of the others. Very intuitive to transform in all modes. Getting this one too because of the better face sculpt. Will keep Airwolf in bot mode and BS in copter mode.

Is this made by a different company or simply a rebrand/reorg of open and play? Open and play almost changed the 3p mp game with big spring then just gone after 2 releases. would be cool to know they are back and hopefully designing again.

 

It's a KO by Robot Hero. They've made some OSKO MP-11's and a really good MP-13 KO.

 

Dang, would it be wrong to sell my Apache for this? Wish I could see them side by side...

 

Someone needs to tell this company to redo O&P's Big Cannon. I would jump on that in a heartbeat.

That looks like a really fun transformation. I heard good things about the Open and Play Springer but that head as everyone has said was a huge turnoff. Really impressed how a new head and colors can make something look amazing.

 

Wonder if tfs express/omegalock will have this? Interested to know the price after converting dollars to pounds.

 

Open and Play Springer was a lot of fun! But this just looks better in every regard as far as colors. Very excited to get this.
Also looking at the video it would appear the chest does not tab in. It looks like the person in the video attempted 2 times and it popped out. Maybe someone else could confirm so I know I wasn't seeing things. Lol

Sculpt wise I think it looks more dynamic than apache.Apache has the beter looking chest though

 

Sorry to bump after a couple weeks- I was revisiting Big Spring and even though to me, the figure doesn't look as good as many other offerings, I still had a lot of fun transforming this guy.

If RH managed to fix the chest before sending these out, I would be over the moon. In the one video we have, it looks like the chest tabbing in was NOT fixed, and this is a real detriment because mine comes undone for every little movement. The figure looks so good, it would be a shame if they didn't just take the liberty of making the tabs lock on place. (But I won't ask for too much, I'll live either way.)

This figure looks fantastic. I went ahead and paid it off at Show Z because it had the earliest release date (it SAYS the end of this month.) But we'll see.

I was taking pictures and the head sculpt just really makes the difference. This was certainly a figure that I had no scruples with "Opening and Playing."

I would too! But I'm a Springer fan, so getting multiple figures of a character I love is going to happen anyway- I would still buy a dang face though!

I know someone was selling some home made face plates at one point, but I can't remember how good they looked or the cost. I do know that was the only option at the time and it seemed like a couple of people on here said it made the difference or they customized their own.

If O&P made it removable anyway...I wonder if they had plans for an extra or it's just Masterpiece etiquette for the face plates to detach?
