generally a lot of those stores jump on pre orders as soon as a cad design is shown of any figure even if there has been no confirmation of when or if it's going to be made ... ft fortmax is a good example even i'm sceptical whether or not that will be made now

Yes, whenever something is announced (even with no date, if it's concept art, whatever), stores like to put up preorders... like if a 3p tf company announced they were making poop in a bag, a minute later stores like showz would have it for $1 preorder.

I think you're mixing up Showz with Tfdirect. Literally almost half the preorders on that site don't end up happening.

 

Moot, when MMC price-sets so nobody ever has cheaper list prices than PSX, and MMC themselves are very good at offering replacement parts.

 

I'm sure their shipping isn't the fastest, and again the way in which you pay is also different per store. What is their replacement policy? They send you parts free of charge?

 

all those $1 pre orders from places like tfdirect have got to add up and i bet they know most people won't be bothered losing $1 if said product does not happen

 

Shipping takes a couple of weeks if you go with their free/cheap option. Only a couple of days if you spring for EMS/Courier. Pretty much the same as everywhere I've ever experienced, outside of a global shipping magnate like Amazon.

I've never had direct experience with their parts replacement service, but from what they've heard, they'll offer free replacement if you can prove the parts were pre-broken/missing, and otherwise just a minimal shipping fee if you just need a replacement due to user error.

 

MMC customer service is superb. Shop with confidence.

 

Got ya. Most stores I've used will just send a replacement part for free regardless of it being broken before or after, as long as you're clear about what's in need of replacing and why.

Well, to be fair, I still don't think anyone has gotten Starscream right.

But, I'll by much happier if I can hopefully get the means together to pre-order Rung in the next couple days anyway.

100% recommend PSX. Shipping takes a bit longer but the customer support can’t be beat.

 

I still wouldn't mind a "thirteenth" Starscream if it meant MMC tackling the Guido Guidi IDW "Thundercracker" design...

 

I got Anubis through PSX since he was an exclusive & when a piece broke they got me a new one. Good experience.
