I wonder if this Mirage thing is just some classic misinformation and when the movie releases it'll just be Jazz. The same way Sentinel was called Magnus and other codenames and red herrings have been used in conxept stages.

I'm hoping that at PulseCon, NYCC, or Digital Toyfair we get more info on the Autobots including who the 'heavy' is because we always have at least one "heavy" and that orange tow truck is looking noice and I want a voyager pronto to buy and love on

A sorta rust orange and beige Volkswagen Type 2 panel van for the movie was being transported in Montreal. It looks beat up and has "Frank's T.V. Repair" emblazoned on the sides. Under that it lists the "SALES & SERVICE". On the left, it says:

The lists are also on the back of the van.

The configuration of this van's parts seems to match the one for the movie (and coincidentally, the first match I found while searching for pictures also has "PORSCHE" on the side like Mirage):



It's a real character of a van, but I only saw it from the back, so I don't know if it's a Transformer with a logo on the front.

I would post pictures, but I'm fairly certain the production is visiting these forums and/or social media, because they've been increasing security in some of the areas where we've been taking pictures (it's almost like there's an imposter among us), so I'll wait a bit.

I don't think so; the van isn't close to looking red. I don't really know what to think of it, TBH. Most of the period cars they've been using have been in a very open parking lot, but now they've dissapeared, so it would be odd if it was just a background vehicle that they were still transporting around and hiding for some reason.

 

Had to show this to my Dad as he knows a fair bit about Porsche and their history. Apparently, the van carries spare parts for Porsche vehicles, and it was used mainly throughout the 60s at racing events. Maybe it could have something to do with Mirage?

 

Sorry, the van pictured isn't the one for the movie. It just has the same configuration of bumper, tail lights, etc. I posted it for illustrative purposes.

Can't find anything on TFs from the CinemaCon hashtag on twitter - it seems their main focus was Top Gun & Clifford.
