So I just got home from work and took another look at that figure, and sh*t man I’d be pissed if I got that turd. The original figure looks better than that!

ok, so I barely kept an eye on this thing during its production but I was curious how it got this bad, and if there were any signs.
I made a PDF of the "KEY" events, 30 pages long.
    Mp Inferno.pdf
ALL NAMES IN SCREENSHOTS ARE PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE - NOTHING PRIVATE SHARED

think this is actually pretty cool project, sadly just failed to deliver significantly.
I want to preface this with I realize this guy is doing a lot of it himself, and outsourcing some of it.
I respect the work and the 3D modeling/the mold of the figure and not faulting him for trying.

    Advertised as being sold:

    TLDR:
Dude made an awesome looking 3d model
Going to sell figures made from it for 200$ as a Masterpiece scale figure.
Original Prototype looked very good. Some questionable engineering, but still cool.
Mass production begins (Using companies based in America, so its gonna be pricy)
original company too slow, and only uses a new company to mass produce.
    **** NOTE****
The Manufacture method is not your typical molding process like they do in China, this was Silicon I believe and was only good for 100 figure before heavy mold degradation.
Makes other 3d designs and models for other figures and characters while waiting for his to be made at the “factory”.
Starts 3d printing his other characters created/made while waiting on his Inferno figures to finish being made.
    Figures are shipped out
Figure breaks and looks like crap.

I found the original order form in my mail and asked him if I could swap out the painted kit for a nonpainted one.

    I got a shipping notice…..

for two of the four Terrorsaurus payments.

Just reached out to him because that doesn’t sound right. I have an order for Infernus he could have shipped it under and there’s no sign he’s even started terrorsaurus

wow that’s tough, I hope he can correct the issues from quality to paint. The original prototype looked top notch now it looks like a low quality rushed work.

I mean, if the figure is coming out this flimsy, I doubt a kit is going to hold up much better. I get that he's an independent and it might sound harsh, but for $200 a pop, he has to do better. Baring in mind he's sold about 200 of these, that's $40k to invest in making this as good as it can possibly be. I'm not sure where the money has gone, but I don't think it's into the production. I will be seeking a refund on this and Terrorsaur, I'll just get the Kingdom ones and have to accept the scale differences.

Personally, I’m concerned that he marked terrorsaur as shipped when he sent the Infernus kit. Seems like a way to scam me out of a possible refund if/when one figure or the other doesn’t arrive.

You might struggle with an "Item not received" claim, but you should still have a case with an "Item not as described" claim if you did happen to want recourse

I didn’t want to start a “conspiracy” hunt or anything. But in my PDF i mention the dates of when supposedly shipping, and also that apparently multiple batches were sent out LONG before anyone received one and posted about it. I would imagine SOMEONE from the FB group or here would have received one from the first couple of batches.

ontop of that, we only ever saw one picture of completed figures in boxes ready for shipment.

my conspiracy theory, and I HOPE I AM WRONG.
We only ever saw enough parts for four-6 to be completed. Those were the only ones that were shipped out.

I hope I am wrong and talking out my Arse but…something isn’t adding up.

It did look kinda sus to be honest from what I saw on his Facebook. He was supposedly sending out a batch of 8, then he was sending out his second batch and then he shows 4 completed ones for the first time and only one has been shown being received, so I completely see where you're coming from.

    Ebay:
He's posted pictures of the guy who does the molding for him. It's silicone molds done with a resin of some sort. It's hobbyist/prototype level stuff. It won't hold up to any wear and tear.

Gotchya. I was under the impression that these were properly injection molded. Hopegully those who bought in were aware of the production method. Oh well...

yeah in my PDF there are screenshots of this
It’s not something done in the more professional 3rd party scene that use metal molds.

Are silicone molds that pricey to make?
He’s used the cost of molding to justify the price of the figures and as the reason he can’t possibly consider making Scorponok due to parts count.

The initial resin print will probably turn out to be the best available version in the end.

I’m leaning more to the view that even the few people who I expect to get a copy (just those who ordered the kit and a couple others) are going to be disappointed and severely short changed while the majority will simply be robbed.
    What a ride.

Not per se, BUT the part count, the fact that he outsourced it to someone who knows what he is doing will add a lot to the price. I can make you a shitty 2 part mold for a few simple parts but I'm no moldmaker by trade. Making molds like these and casting (not injection molding!) these parts takes material, skill and time. The latter two are the most expensive.

C57A8722-926F-4657-90E4-92060DC009D3.jpeg He responded to my message and said that he had Terrorsaurus figures made earlier and my notice IS for terrorsaur. Meaning my unpainted Infernus didn’t ship yet.

Which surprises me. We’ll see what happens.

A snapping ball joint is something I can always fix/replace with parts from something else, so I’m not too concerned about that part
