I was shocked to see Amiami have preorders closed on Gura. I've never seen that happen on a figure that was just put up for PO. Isn't that what preordering is for? So they know how much to make? Why would preorders get closed?
Oh it happens a lot. Bandai stuff goes out in seconds some times. It's just super rare for GoodSmile products.
I think they just underestimated the demand for the more popular Hololive vtubers. The Marine Nendoroid sold out a lot of places as well within the first day of her preorder being opened. I hope future ones have a larger run, if not, trying to preorder Pekora or a possible Korone would be a nightmare.
Anime Export still has her up for preorder, but I saw someone else say they were out of stock there. Anime-export Also lol at Amazon resellers.
Oof. Good thing I'm not into Hololive. But I am glad I tipped my brother over the edge into preordering Gura, though.
Aaaand she's sold out. (I have no interest in Hololive, and had no intention on getting her, but seeing the POs sell out so fast even makes me feel like I'm missing out )
I have friends who are big into hololive, although Gura isn't their favorite so they didn't miss out much haha

Just another line of statues in my opinion. Great in detail but I like having the option of making my own poses.
I quite like them. They're bigger than what I normally collect but they do have quite a variety of figures that represent many of my favourite characters.(I'd really like a few from Bleach, though) I tend to collect figma. But a) they tend to get pricey and b)I'm not the biggest fan of flesh joints. There's also more chance of them falling down when on display.(That doesn't mean I'll stop getting figma, and other action figures, though). (EDITED) POP figures, while static still look good on the shelf (IMO). Anyway, I never thought we'd get a POP figure like this (Ameratsu from the game Okami). That's nostagia incarnate for me. And since they're doing Nedroid Shiranui, I hope that this means there's a POP figure of that on the way, too. The fact that there are 'beasts' in this line makes it even more interesting to me. I'm hoping we get more, like Oki, also from Okami, Naruto's buddy Kurama, and of course, the members of a wolf pack that like to hang out with a certain Slime/Demon Lord. Other animals, like dragons and birds might be cool, too.
