That needs to come back as a PSX bonus for Fortmax.

For me right now, I only collect Reformatted from MMC because I'm very set on finishing my MTMTE shelf as much as I can so long as MMC keeps doing IDW stuff (I'm sure they'll move on some day). However, Occular Max is one sub-line that always catches my eye, plus I know MMC does quality figures. I'm familiar with enough of the line to know a lot of the characters, but nothing of transformation quality/fun level/etc. - for those that collect Ox stuff, what are the highlights of that line? I'm a big fan of the design of the Bruticus overall, but am more interested in starting with single bots.

I tried most of the OX stuff, but I ended up selling almost all of them - not due to quality, but because I've stopped collecting G1 toon accurate bots at this point. OX is a different line from Reformatted and sometimes has better paint applications and uses of diecast. I wasn't a fan of their Inferno or Cliffjumper molds personally - Inferno had too many panels that made the transformation a chore compared to the official Takara MP. Their Mirage is pretty good, though I'm not sure if it holds up nowadays (I never compared it with TE's Mirage), and I never tried their Cosmos or Trailbreaker molds. But I loved their Arcee and Springer (Springer/Saltus is actually the only one I have left, though I'm trying to sell him now too haha). Arcee has a great transformation and poses really well despite such tiny feet. Springer has an ingenious transformation as a triple changer (especially the way his legs work), with a great robot and helicopter mode and a decent car mode. He has plenty of paint, diecast, and accessories - I recall the designer saying he was inspired by origami in engineering his transformation. (This is just for mainline OX, not the sublines like Remix, IF, or Unlimited)

In my eyes, I think I preferred Springer > Swindle > Arcee > Onslaught > Brawl > Impetus > Blastoff > Mirage > Cliffjumper > Inferno (excluding Cosmos and Trailbreaker)

Basically +1 for this entire post. I've owned all the OX releases aside from Saltus (which is the release I always wanted most lol) but don't own a single one anymore, due to totally giving up on Masterpiece figures. Their Cosmos is imho inferior to the XTB Klaatu, both in look and feel, and Trailbreaker and Hoist have really not aged well in my eyes - The XTB versions are far superior. Transformation sucks, articulation isn't great, accessories are limited, and QC is not the best. Mirage is very cool looking, though he subscribes more to the MP-10 philosophy of cooler looking, less cartoon accurate designs.

On the other hand, their Bruticus is basically perfect and every member is great. Swindle could use a few more faces maybe but otherwise I loved having him, just not the cost. My only vice is I wish his combined mode feet had some rubber grips or something on the bottom to help him not slide around.

The Max bots I have are: Mirage (Sphinx), Springer (Saltus), Arcee (Azaela), Frenzy and Rumble (Furor and Riot), and all the Bruticus (Assaultus) bots.

The Assaultus bots are by far the highlight -- one of the highlights of my whole collection, honestly -- even though the combined mode is awfully wobbly. Every bot not only looks fantastic, but has an incredibly fun and inventive transformation. (Well, except Vortex. That transformation I don't care for.) Like @bakerjin I liked Swindle the best of the bunch, and Swindle is a cool enough character that you could dip your toe in with him without getting the whole set.

Of the others, I think the Frenzy and Rumbles are must-buys for any G1 MP collector -- nobody else is doing them, and they just look fantastic with other MP Decepticons. And the transformations are really neat too. Highly recommend, and I crave a Ravage to go with them.

Their Springer is great, probably the best Springer option on the market, but it sorta does what it says on the tin, if that makes sense. If you like the images, you'll like it -- it's a solidly-built bot, great in-hand experience -- but it doesn't have a "masterpiece moment" that elevates it beyond that.

Mirage is fine, but has some fiddly bits -- I suspect the TE is better, but not enough so to make me upgrade. And Arcee I honestly don't like very much. She's fine, I'm satisfied with her as my MP Arcee, but she's just a bit fiddly and underwhelming somehow.

New face for Zinnia came with a freebie figure, who looks happy to be there.

Yeah, if we were to expand my opinions outside the core OX line, I absolutely love most of the OX Remix tapes. I have the main 5 (Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Rumble and Frenzy), and Ravage is my favorite - he looks incredible at the MP scale for sure! I actually like the OX Remix Ravage quite a bit more than Reformatted Ravage - the hardware and feel in hand is better in my opinion. Rumble and Frenzy are good too and have fun transformations, though I don't really care about the piston gimmick. Buzzsaw and Laserbeak are fine but absolutely do not scale with anything. I just pose them in random places in my house for my kids to find, haha. Also, while the magnets for their wings are a cool feature, one on Buzzsaw fell off and now his wings don't stay tabbed in - boo :/

I can't say I care for the Stellarus Prominion, but if we were to include Eris, she'd probably be at the top of my list along with Saltus.

I love Soundwave so much that I cheated and included him in my IDW MP collection even though he's G1 :D

Don't think I've ever inspired anything other than like, maybe disgust, before! Love your photo, I should do another round of portraits soon. DJD or more Autobots?

Thank you! Hmm...more Autobots. It wouldn't hurt to do both though.

Picked up Not Swindle and Not Vortex from BBTS and they're sitting in my pile of loot! I need to wait for a bit before I can pick up the other limbs and Not Onslaught, but hopefully I can find the reissue relatively painlessly?

These were my first 3 MMC figures and first 3 third-party figures that I had ever gotten as a child, a christmas presents from my parents about 9 years ago. And I still love them today. KM-01 Commander, KM-03 Cyclops, KM-05 Screecher.

Hot soldiers: Centurion is photo bombing the picture.

... yeah I know I need to dust, I'm cleaning my shelves and doing it now.

I still regret not jumping on Knight Morpher when I first heard about it; I've always loved the HoS design. But back then, $85 or whatever it was for price was considered crazy expensive.

And then MMC's April Fools from this year came along and twisted the dagger. Make it happen you cowards :D  :D

It looks like Carnifex w/ Continuum upgrade set might get reissued in 2022. Pre-order are up on The Chosen Prime and BBTS. It is also on TFSource but it does not say anything about Continuum but there are pictures of it. ( I'll email them about it).

    Note: on BBTS
    Product Description
Please note: This product is subject to a minimum order quantity (MOQ) in order to be manufactured. If the MOQ is not met, this item may not be produced and pre-orders may be canceled.

Last time when Carnifex and the Continuum set was up for reissue, it got canceled due to not enough orders. Please share that he is up for reissue.

Yeah, I am surprised they try again given the previous failure, hopefully it can go through this time.

Yes MMC already announced this a few days ago. And if you order with psx you get an exclusive harpoon from the comics.

They could make a Sentinel Prime with that lance and shield.

I’m tempted to double dip for carnifex
Does anyone know cir sure if the rerelease will come with the psx exclusive harpoon?

also looking at the pictures on psx the white background carnifex loks to have different shades of colors more brighter maybe?
