My thoughts exactly, can anyone else confirm this? I am a bit skeptical, but it's not against the realm of possibility.

If it is true and legit, then it's only a matter of time for something good. When the domain name is taken, typically around that time, they will have to trade mark a name for the game and that becomes difficult to hide because they have to reveal that to a good number of people and it will most definitely get leaked or revealed when it does. It may not be the same as the domain name, but they will have to trademark the game name.

I want something good to happen soon, but I highly doubt it. At this rate, it looks like 2022 is going to be the big gaming year as everything is getting delayed till then. A side point, I am still going with my bet that they are gonna go ham and do a big reveal of everything at once, toys, game, movie, ect.

    • Okay, so first thing to take into account is the domain name "TransformersRise"
    • Second, If you do a domain name lookup, most of the information is redacted/private for a specific reason. Most keep information public unless for a specific reason.
    • Third, within the redacted information, the only thing that shows up is "registrant country HK". Hong Kong where Leyou Technologies and Tencent is located (now that they are both a team). Keep in mind though Leyou is the one that has the rights to Transformers currently. Not Tencent. Unless the contract was rewritten with Hasbro.
    • Now you can dig deeper with this hosting website and find the IP address/website server located in United States. (IP and website location: Check host) But it makes sense for the website to be located in the States anyway because the West is a big audience for the game. They want players from East and West of NA to be able to quickly access their game website for info. Leyou Technologies just knows how to handle western audience as Warframe is a credit to that.
    • Lastly, while there isn't much to go on as usual, the best and only thing that allowed me to confirm that this is in fact the official website is the networking cookies. "cookie-domain:leyoutech.com.hk cookie-name:_icl_current_language" Now someone much smarter than me could easily further confirm or deny this information. However, I think the most important information to take in is the registrant company is from Hong Kong where Leyou Technologies is located.
Only time will tell if this information comes to light. I am hoping I am correct about this info. My goal is to bring Transformers: Rise info to each and every one of you. Not to deceive any of you. I am just as excited as all of you so with that being said, I hope that you can trust this information and we can all get excited for whatever Certain Affinity and Leyou Technologies has to bring us. Possibly at the next game show event(s).

Hasbro has asked to take down Transformers: Rise title reveal from the podcast description and the Linkedin profile. I guess this makes things official now. Hasbro never asks to take down anything if it's fake. That's how they operate. Pretty soon they'll ask us to take down the news article too.

Well I'll be damned it is true, if they are forcing people to take it down, then it is most likely the name of the game or very close to it.

Share the news as much as possible, because if it is true, they will continue to ask people to take it down, but the more people that talk about it, puts them in a spot that may have them be forced to reveal the game since the news is already out. Once a secret is out, it is hard to keep quiet and a lot of companies usually just straight up reveal it instead of having to deal with the bullshit of hiding it.

Side note, anyone message Certain Affinity about it, I doubt they will give us anything useful, but it's worth a shot.

So with Gamescon 2021 starting in the next few days, what do you guys think the chances are on them revealing the game. So far there are at least 3-4 unknown dev walkthroughs and quite a few unannounced game slots plus probably a few other opportunities. At least from all my channels, I haven't heard that Certain Affinity or Leyou is showing up so far, but that doesn't really say much, because it they did announce they were showing up, everyone would know exactly why. I wouldn't normally have made a post about this because of the fiasco that was E3 and SGF, but since they recently claimed the domain name for Transformers Rise, that gives hint of a possible reveal soon for one reason or another. I have heard some chatter here and there for speculations but nothing concrete.

Not to mention, it has been a fairly long time since we've really heard from Certain Affinity on new stuff. The reason I think that they will make an announcement is because of the domain name leak and also because of Covid and the botched next gen release. So far, all groups, PS, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, are all agreeing that 2022 is going to a big year because of all the delays and are going to push hard on their heavy hitters.

And then there is supposedly still Playstations big even next month which we haven't heard much about yet. If they were going to reveal the game, I think they would probably do the dev walkthrough at gamescom, talk about the game a bit, then do an actually trailer/teaser reveal at Sonys event.

But in all seriousness, dont expect much if they do reveal it, as I dont think they are going to show a whole lot

I'd say maybe 50 percent chance of it showing I heard something that hasbro was striking people when the new title of the game was revealed idk if that has anything to do with it for this event but anything is possible

I dont think this was ever posted, so here it is. And I agree fully, anything is possible. Transformers: Rise is an actually thing, now I have heard rumors that it's supposed to tie in with Rise of The Beasts, but they could just be saying that to help cover it up and that it's not real. I think it will probably tie in a bit, but will be it's entirely own entity. The game exists so it's only a matter of time before they reveal it.

Once again, I'm saddened to bring you bad news. I follow a lot of devs and managerial people at LeYou/Certain Affinity for news purposes. I noticed that suddenly a lot of people at LeYou just left. In fact CEO, freaking CEO, of LeYou just left and formed a new company.

It's only this week I got to know why... I'm bringing this report from popular gaming journalist Josh Ye, who investigated the case. These are his words, not mine:

CEO Alex Xu's last profile pic before leaving LeYou:

The last sentence is what's really disheartening:

Ex-Leyou employees said that the company’s ambition to assert itself in the gaming business was thwarted by mismanagement and internal infighting. “People who did not care about games wound up being in charge. It was more interested in dressing itself up for a sale, and they did so by buying famous IPs with which they never intended to go through,” a person said.

So, LeYou made the license agreement with Hasbro only to increase the value of LeYou for a possible future bid.

Here's my two cents on this situation, while I think that this absolutely crazy that this happened. I feel like there is a bigger plot to this story that is missing. While Leyou Technologies had a lot of legal matters behind closed doors especially buying up parties like Lord of the Rings and TF. I'm thinking that Lord of the Rings was the only famous title that was being used. As we all noticed, Alex as the CEO had a T-shirt on for TF then even I think that he believed in the game that Certain Affinity was making. We all know Tencent was the one that originally made a game called "Transformers Online" that failed miserably. But so much money was poured into this new title and developed from late 2017 until now. It was their big push to bring a big profit back to the company. We even heard about a beta version of the game. This may not be TFU but this is a different situation. Remember Leyou was the holder of the contract along with Certain Affinity. They brought in Splash Damage to help even. Since that time Tencent has bought up Splash Damage, Leyou has basically been dissolved. So what happens next. What is Tencent's true goal? They originally had the IP for Transformers and lost it. So how do they get it back? Dissolve the company and get rewritten into the contract so that they also have a much larger profit from the game. This is like a golden egg opportunity for Tencent. Leyou renegotiates with Hasbro and rewrites the contract with Tencent. Tencent also pretty much has Certain Affinity in their hands. While this could be a hopeful theory, at the end of the day Hasbro is the boss and what they say goes. This game could get completely dissolved or they could continue with Tencent leading the charge for the rest of the development and marketing. For Tencent though, I think this is more of a greed factor by buying up Leyou the way they did. Until we hear otherwise, this game is still in development (but in limbo) and I don't think Hasbro wants to lose this game either(if they don't have to), especially since Rise of The Beasts is sometime next year

So could this potentially mean the game was cancelled a long time ago? Cause everything we have in terms of leaks are from 2017-2019. Although I would like to remain hopeful Leyou is still actively trying to erase anything we happen to discover and CA is still actively under NDA which can clearly be seen on twitter.

So pretty much they pulled a bait and switch is what I am hearing. Basically what they did was hire a bunch of people, get some good names studios backing them and take a stake in their company, then get the rights to a few famous IPs with no plans to make a game just to improve their sellout price so much so that it outweighs the severe penalties for said bait and switch.

I wish I could say I didn't believe it, but nowadays pretty much every studio is corporate and scummy. If this is even remotely true, the game was dead long ago like anthem. They probably only made just enough to make it look like a real game but no more. If this is true, it will be making gaming headlines pretty soon, so only time will tell. But seriously, there is so much behind the scenes action going on it's not even funny. Someone's gotta leak something about it.

Fuck I feel bad for Certain Affinity if this is true, they got fucked over hard and we the fans are constantly pestering them every five seconds for a game they know wasn't ever real or gonna happen.

This makes me wonder if Hasbro will still try to pursue a new publisher and developer to make a new TF game.

I don't think they are canceling the game because I thought it was legal to write misinformation. For some reason I always thought you can get fine.

The official side of Transformers has me done. I just don't care anymore. New figures are losing my interest and they refuse to make a game that's not garbage for 10 years. Now it's canceled, I just don't care anymore. The only thing making me somewhat care for the brand is the new movie and 3rd party. Should have expected this tho given how trash Game delays and games in general have been for the past year or two. I think we should just give up hope of TF games, they are never coming.

Well, if it is true, Leyou broke a bunch of rules that go against many contracts, but seeing how they did this intentionally, it means they had a plan from the get go to weasle their way out. I also had this thought, which is why i am skeptical that this is true because they breached so many things it's not even funny and I find that very hard to keep such serious breaches hidden

Corporate out of touch execs purely run this gaming industry now. I'm odd to say if either this game is cancelled yet. But if Certain Affinity was working on the TF IP as a passion project, it really sucks this is what happens to these type of developers. This is the reason why I don't expect any developer making games purely on passion on an IP anymore, much like HMS was. Because what happens now is that these type of developers just get fucked by external greed beyond their will. This is what would happen if HMS tried making the Cybertron games now.
