Finally got Fitor. Now just waiting on Turbo. I have a full set of these releases, but I refuse to open any of them until Turbo is among the crowd. I feel like it's been a decade since they first showed a proto. I know they're notoriously slow, but at this rate, I worry about key people retiring before it ever happens. This is glacial. Also, for you MR people, I know CopTur wasn't in the MR show and theoretically not part of the license this line is built on, but what about Crasher? Is there a possibility, or is she out too? Scooter? (I know, he's the JarJar of the GoBot world, but for the sake of completeness, I'd like to see him made). I'm sure there is a master-list of eligible characters, but I'm too lazy to hunt for it.
I seear I saw a prototype of Coptur somewhere. Ill search for it after work and post it I find it. Wasnt Coptur part of the original Simple 600 line?
“Crasher” was in the Machine Robo anime, but was white instead of black, so if we get the figure, it’ll be white.
Log into Facebook Back with another translated excerpt from a Chinese website which talks about the history of Machine Robo Revenge of Cronos and the other things surrounding it. I'm surprised there's a lot more after this history page that there's still more Machine Robo stuff to talk about. More particularly, the production side of things here: MACHINEROBO REVENGE OF CRONOS Oh and if you're wondering where I got the excerpt: MACHINEROBO REVENGE OF CRONOS
@nacho, @MasterScale, @Optimus Prime23 Action Toys only have a license to produce those characters that appeared in the Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos anime. I've not seen it, but I am aware that it's not all-inclusive; not every toy had a toon incarnation in that series, so some of the characters/toys we know from Gobots unfortunately won't get toys in the current MR toyline. I've cast about for a full list of characters that do appear in MR:RoC to no avail. The Wiki page lists a few, but not all judging by the toys that Action Toys have prototyped and released. I do know that Harrier Robo, AKA Royal-T, made an appearance, and I've been hoping hard for that character to be made, as the Harrier is one of my favorite aircraft, and I think it would present a more accurate Harrier mode than any Transformer toy thus far. Has/Tak have a long history of producing abysmally terrible jet modes, save but a few, so I welcome any that Action Toys attempts. Anyway, I hate to be a wet blanket, but I get the sense that a lot of American fans aren't aware of the licensing limitation that Action Toys is working under. We see updated Gobots, and the natural inclination is to want all those characters we grew up with. However, I don't it's possible under the current license.
Yeah, I am aware of the limitations of the license. That was the whole point of my question(s) about which other key gobot-equivalents were, in fact, in the anime and eligible to be made. The crux of my problem is just that I know nothing about Revenge of Cronos, as I find most anime to be completely unwatchable.
I apologize if I sounded patronizing; it wasn't my intent. I've read enough posts here and elsewhere to know that not every Gobot fan realizes the licensing limitations that Action Toys are working under, hence my post. I do like anime and watch it frequently, but I've yet to watch Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos. Not sure I ever will, to be frank. To the point, I wish someone who did watch it would provide a list of characters with toy potential so those of us who haven't seen it, but are collecting the toys, weren't wishing in the dark for this character or that. I was happy when I discovered the Wiki, but that soon turned to disappointment when the majority of MR toy characters weren't listed. I've looked elsewhere, but no definitive list of MR characters from Revenge of Cronos has been forthcoming. It's also weird that we've got characters like Loco and Buggy Robo, but Supercar (Turbo) who we saw as a grayscale proto when the line was first announced, has yet to be released. As one of the core Gobots characters, there's appeal on both sides of the Pacific for that character, so it's odd that lesser known characters have received toys before him. Alas, I just want them to make Harrier, and any other aircraft characters from the old 600 line, as well as Trailer Robo, if he appeared in RoC. I'm very pleased that they made Blackbird, arguably the best transforming SR-71 toy I've seen, even with its mis-proportioned forward fuselage. I'm also happy with Shuttle Robo- they took a little license with the robot mode, and he's a little fiddlier than most, but still a cool addition, and he's an STS Orbiter, so what's not to like? Plus, he has excellent weapons storage. Good stuff. It's lamentable that they didn't make a larger transforming crawler to launch him from back in the day. If I were a toy designer, I'd see about doing that.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get Blue Jet's shoulders to line up properly? I can't seem to get the extended cockpit tabs lined up just right. Edit - never mind: I got it, but wow... it wasn't the most fun part of the transformation.
That was probably the hardest part. I went back with them and turned them as far as I could, knowing it needed more to line up.
I watched a Baltamatrix review and he suggested squeezing the butterfly joint of the shoulders while attaching the canopy. Eh... I mean, it helped
Alrighty then. I got the history of how Battlehackers came to be and its a huge article that has quite a lot of words from its creators, fans and more: Log into Facebook I tried my best to pick up sources from so if there's another article with the BH name, do share it. It means a lot.
Ideas to custumize this into a thruster for mi little fellow? Meanwhile... This guy are singing "i'm your buggyrobo... Thats what i AM... I'm a renegade...and enjoy it "
Sadly even at that price his loose hips will probably keep folks from wanting him. Ah well....still gotta try at least.
