Anybody grab any choice albums over Record Store Day? I completely missed that it was this weekend, probably for the better, but I did see today that they finally pressed my fav L7 album on record (the Beauty Process), so I gotta get my hands on a copy (esp. since I actually signed a petition specifically to get that album finally stamped into vinyl).
Found a working cassette player at a local Goodwill recently. Went to eBay to get some music from my youth to play while working in the man cave.
There arent any record stores left over here so I've always been SOL on RSD. Our last Spec's just closed down , so there's only one store left here where I can buy rock and metal cds (which is run by the widow of a friend of mine that passed earlier this year). Its been a while since I got anything but this came in a few days ago. Been waiting a little over a year for this: the Indiegogo crowd-funded Iapetus - The Body Cosmic double vinyl campaign. There are a number of perks: an exclusive long sleeve shirt, a patch and a signed unique card with a detail on the making of the album. The names of all of the backers are on one of the inserts. Of course each LP is numbered and mine is #038 of 250. I also purchased separately a 3' x 3' banner of the cover artwork.
Is Misfits Famous Monsters hard to find these days or what? I've checked on Bull Moose Music, Barnes and Noble and Tower Records and its either out of stock, or not listed.
Johann Sebastian Bach; Complete Partitas. I had a tape since I have memory, it has passed away after years, so I replaced it with a cd.
I suppose it depends on the format you're looking for, but I had been looking for a vinyl copy forever, there was finally a repress in '18 that I snapped up immediately, and it looks like even the repress is already listing for over $100 on resale.
