I'm familiar with the GI Joe toy, and recognize you're just talking about the head (since the rest of the Joe toy uses a completely different costume, necessitated by the mold they used), but I'm afraid this makes me none the wiser as to what's different in Super 7 skull from "comic accuracy."

Bludgeon looks really good and I think will be a fun companion to Banzaitron (I just link the two since the ROTF toy and them both being Japanese-inspired). I have a feeling that the upcoming G2 Megatron might go good with them too.

Tracks is a mixed bag for me. He's a very nice Sunbow version - but I (like many have said) wish he was the Action Master design, or at least a hybrid of the two. Given how few toys get made in this line, I don't really have high hopes of them doing a whole second Tracks that AM-accurate. Maybe they'd consider changing the colors on Basher if there's fan demand, but honestly, if it's not an AM Tracks design, I don't mind Basher being different too.

Huh, looking back at the original solicit, I noticed that they refer to Tracks as "G1" not "Action Masters" - I guess we should have been prepared for this version. I guess we can think of getting Basher at all as a treat.

Awesome!! Looks like they changed a couple of articulation bits on wave 1 - the joints for op for example appear to be in the shoulders now rather than on the body, as their voltron/the resin proto showed. That’s a massive improvement. Caps from the vid:

I have to say the head sculpt on Starscream looks better here than in the renders from the reveal. Bludgeon is a little smaller than I would have thought but still looks good. Will definitely use the comic head though.

They are listed on BBTS as Q4 of 2021 so they won't release until sometime between October and December. I would say November at the earliest.

I gotta say, they look nice in 3D. Pretty excited for the few I've got ordered. Although there's one thing that's bugging me - it's a bit odd that we didn't get a video like this for wave 1.

It's a bit funny that they show fully painted up wave 2 and then a few mid-production grey samples of wave 1. Now naturally I know that these wave 2 guys on the table are basically props and not the real toys and that wave 1 is actually closer to being produced, but you'd be forgiven for thinking that Grimlock is more finished than Starscream, lol.

I\'m in on Megatron and Bludgeon. If SS86 Grimlock wasn\'t so good, I\'d be getting that Grimlock too.

I agree, but since they're going very much for an action Master 'everyone is mostly the same size' aesthetic, I don't think it's super important.

They need to work on price.  Get the costs way down and maybe more people would care about these.  Then again, the RED line is $20, look about the same as these in terms of style, and sit on the shelves.

I can't help but wonder, is the guy doing the presentation in this video from Harold and Kumar (the first one)… where that group of energy drink hyped up guys are giving Kumar a hard time at the convenience store? Remember the guy who squawks in his face like a velociraptor?

Anyway... these look OK I guess. They remind me so, so much of the R.E.D. line although obviously better quality all around and the accessory count is incredible. Full of all of those "that one scene" moments that a line like this lives and dies on. For me though, just not into non-transforming Transformers. I'll buy S7 Ultimates of just about anything else, but these leave me feeling flat.

I was thinking I would pick up Bludgeon and Grimlock.
But neither look like they would fit in with anything else.

I have the Super 7 Voltron and I'm really not very impressed with it.
I'm not Super Excited for any of these Super 7 Transformers and I'm really doubtful I'll be impressed with their Godzilla line.

So glad that Bludgeon is smaller than the others. He'll go well with my CHUG figures. I'd get Banzaitron if his accessories were as inspired as Bludgeon's. Grimlock is huge! It works. This will be my first Super 7. It won't be the last if they do good Pretenders like this. Or Actionmasters. If they do a good Octopunch or Krok, I'm in.

Damn, I'd love an Octopunch... and he seems plausible, sadly Stranglehold does not. People dig Blud and Octo but not Stranglehold that much it seems. I mean I also think the other two are cooler than Stranglehold but imagine having the whole trio displayed in cool updated toys... I'll dream on I suppose.

I won't be getting any, but I like that they made Grimlock smooth like in the cartoon.
