I specified that the picture represented a fan mode. You are still complaining about a fan mode.
Regarding the unstable transformation, I am not sure what you mean - the combination is very stable, and it seems to be the only complete usage of those two pairs of connectors.

 

You're saying this fanmode is a proof of an abandonned gimmick. No it's not. The pegs are not aligned by default, you're just forcing them to accomplish that. It working only because Mirage transformation is a bit loose and allows the back end to be forced to align sharkticon pegs.

And you base your whole argumentary by saying "these pegs are not usable for anything else", which is wrong, they're perfectly usable for storing energon weapons, the base gimmick of this line :

Stop posting fanmodes, that's all. It's clearly indicated in the rules of the thread.

 

You are deliberately shifting the attention from one specific example to a different one. The picture you showed has the standard usage of one of the pegs of Mirage, and Sharkticon is not even in it.

You can peg them because Mirage allows some bending on its rear end :




That's just playing with tolerances, that's all. It's not aligned at all and not properly fit (the peg is not straight in the hole and it pushes sharkticons shoulders outward..). It's not because "it holds" that it becomes "an hidden feature".

And it's not because the end result mades no sense (because it's exactly the result), thats an "abandonned" gimmick.

 

Not on actual hidden features. Look just at the previous page with Bumblebee backpack, that's a good catch. Nobody complained or became agressive and everybody placed a "like".

You know why ? because that's not a fan mode. And it's enough documented with proof showing it's on purpose and not a fan mode.

 

C'mon, man. That's not necessary. I don't come into threads you've created and crap all over them.
1.) I have permission from the staff for this thread to exist.
2.) I linked to the other features thread and the fanmodes thread, they still exist and they're a perfect outlet for "finds" such as the one being discussed.
3.) This thread was created for legitimate hidden features only, not fanmodes, not forced modes, just actual hidden features such as Diaclone (or whatever it was) Blaster's rifle being an earphone holder and things of that nature.

It's really not a big ask when other threads exist for imagination and creativity. I don't understand the lack of respect and the attacks of one another in this thread. It's just absolutely unnecessary. Why must this thread be forced to be like the others when that's not the purpose of this thread?

And I haven't been smacking people over the head, I can't control others (clearly, because they post whatever the heck they want in here and don't follow the rules), so what gives? I just don't appreciate the snideness in this post of yours.

No one's dogpiling. People are pointing out the rules and when told about them, people get all nasty and fight back when it's absolutely unnecessary. If I'm wrong about something, I take my lumps, apologize and move on. (Don't believe me? Ask around.) If I can do it, other people can too, especially in this thread.

this is no different from the 'super clean pictures' thread or any other line specific threads. start posting fuzzy outdoor shots in the super clean thread and see how long you get away with it. we're keeping the thread on track so doesn't devolve into posts about people cramming energon cubes into empty spaces.

 

The standard is high because people repeatedly try and abuse it. It's one thing to ask a question, it's another to post something as a defacto "feature" when it's anything but. And the fact that they dig their heels in and get mad about it in this thread when there are two that exist for their "finds" is just disappointing. People REALLY REALLY hate being told "no" but it's a part of life. It's not the end of the world because someone told you "Sorry, no." over a feature you made up in your head. (In the prior instance, it's a general you. In the next part, it's directly for you.) Do you, at all, see where I'm coming from at all?

And people don't have an insufficient grasp, that belittles their intelligence and punches down on them. It's not a matter of grasp, it's a matter of entitlement and "I won't be told no by the likes of YOU!". There's a big difference.

And we had exactly that happen in here. And they got uppity about it when told that it's not a find. That's another thing, I'm so tired of people getting nasty when they violate the rules.

 

Internet dialectic 101:
1) take a forum user's argument, its assumptions and its supporting evidence
2) remove the assumptions
3) complain that the evidence doesn't fit the argument

This I very much agree with. It should be easy to find the hidden features that have been discovered here without having to dig through pages of discussion.

 

This is supposed to be a fun thing. “Look at what else this toy’s supposed to do!”. We’re 40 pages in. Weeding out the genuine hidden features by now will be tedious for the OP, although useful to the rest of us.
