That alt-mode is WEAK SAUCE. All the hinges up the middle and black wing hinges and the half-ass armor hanging off the back.

IF's aerial modes have always been ehhhh but GOD i love the robot modes too much to not get this

While the MS bot is a couple of years old, IF's style direction adds that "hnnnnggg" factor that the MS is sorely lacking.

 

Wow! Those are quite a bit bigger than I thought they'd be based on the size on their listing!

 

I have no real issues with the IF ship design, but the execution is sub-par at best. It's sorely obvious that it's a toy with all the chunky hinges and swivels.

 

Might be nice from the front view, with the six wingtips sticking out in their different directions. Interesting they gave him Galvatron style kneecaps.

MS Cyclonus alt mode looks even more terrible, just a bizarre shape like a child drew it, regardless if the hinges etc aren't as apparent.

I guess you either dig IF's aesthetics or you don't. Their bot modes are always fantastic but the boxiness and girth of the limbs always forces a clunky alt mode, I feel the same way about IF Jetfire's arms showing in alt mode and the chunkiness of the cockpit area.

I think we'll have to wait for NA to tackle him to get the perfect Cyclonus, to compliment their Galvatron which I think is sublime. To me, getting that sleek but aggressively pointed 80's swept-wing spaceship design is paramount. But this Samurai version is another style completely and that's fine.

 

Just movie accurate not the model they chose for the toy, TT also does the movie knees in current Cyclonus figures like the Kingdom one.

 

i believe he's officially in the samurai series given the asian Hannyamaru name. while galvatron on the other hand is not, given the named Void Tyrant.

 

Well six shot name is shadow tengu so still not so sure  it doesn't matter at the end

 

six shot came before they announced a samurai line. but if you want to include it unofficially, i guess you can. though tengu is questionable, shadow is not asian derivative.

 

Huh, cool, thanks for this. It's just a detail, but I prefer without the knee pads. Makes him look a tradesman, like he'll spend the afternoon soldering at floor level. But I guess it's unlikely we'd get toy knees unless NA do an EX and go an extra mile beyond deco... yeah, unlikely.

 

Yeah he's one as far as we know, TIK mentioned the name, but he was also standing with all of the Samurai releases in the big reveal.
Not that it matters because they don't distinguish between the lines with their product numbering.
Of course, we should see when we get packaging photos. Don't the Samurai ones say "Iron Samurai Series"?

And Void Legion, Scourge. Cyclonus would be Void Warrior or something if he was main line.

I was looking for thos New KO Stunticons especially.

He doesn't have them, no, but there's been plenty of new stuff over the past few months (MST and NA constructicons). Mind you, the way he organises his stock, which was already a bit odd, has become stranger...

 

Hzj was one my go to's for years until he sent me a broken figure and wouldn't replace it. But I check in once in a while to see what he has and doesn't seem like he's been ordering much of the new stuff. His prices have also gone up so with ebay tax and shipping a lot of his stuff he sells loose are more expensive than getting it new in the box from ShowZ or Terry's. (Who both have the ko stunticons for $37 w/ free ship).

 

hzj and baba were great back when I was playing the catch-up game 2 years ago. Now I never use them.

 

I tend to buy from time to time as he sells some nice stickers at good prices and it gives me a reason to get some more if I buy the odd thing off him - the Stunticons was just something that looked like was up my alleyway.
I may buy another black Sixshot once I can find someone who is honest if (my avatar) is included or not.

I keep wondering when Springer and the Blitzwing repaint will show up. Springer 3.0 (2nd mould type 3rd release of an MFT Springer) sure is taking his sweet time to arrive.

 

Only used them a few times, Baba was going up in prices and shipping cost months ago and HZJ did not had much in stock the last few times I looked.
Even my favorite store on Ali has gone up, so that is good news to Show Z, who are now starting to get cheaper.

 

@Max Tower I think the next to drop would be either the blitzwing repaint or WreckGar as they've shown off full painted versions of those most recently.. I'm guessing Arcee would follow those, then springer / hot rod..
