i assume so, since megs seemed genuinely perplexed by it too. my theory is that the golden disk mystery will be one of the more driving forces of the early arcs, rather than the vok, as we've seen them and they may be an overarching one.

 

It's nice to have art that's a bit more true to the characters but I feel like we've done a bit of a side-grade. It's more detailed and we have characters with unique faces, but the staging still feels flat and some of the actual drawings are not great. It's also annoying that Dinobot's injury isn't consistent with what we saw before. Now he's got gashes all up his arm and side, which doesn't match the single stab wound inflicted by Tarantulas. Was the actual wound not described in the script? Also why did Primal transform to kick Dinobot even though his legs would be shorter as a gorilla and less capable of that move?

The writing still feels really off. Glad Dinobot told us he and Rattrap are butting heads instead of, y'know, showing it. :/

 

You can't just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

As the colourist I can can confirm that the choices for the colours of those characters were mine and are not based on any other characters. I experimented with several schemes for both but kept the neutral parts the same on Chromedome and experimented with his other colours to keep him recognisable but also different. For Hardhead I felt purple was a more villainous colour for him instead of the areas that are green. For a number of the characters that had never appeared before I often chose the inverse colour on the colour wheel to create their "opposites". There are also some characters that have different colour schemes depending on the timeframe the scene is set.

If there are characters that have appeared as SG toys before then I have tended to be respectful of those colours although different designs may mean completely different arrangements of those colours. There are a couple of SG colour schemes though that are just bonkers and may have to make a change to! There are two characters in the series where the colours specifically reference a different character but you will definitely recognise them when you see them!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the series!

Okay.....wasn't expecting a warning from this Megatron on the thing. But I gotta wonder, how'd it even get on the thing in the first place?!? I mean, it's a whole Assload of years until the Voyager Probe gets launched, so how's that even happen!?!?! Unless BW-Megs takes advantage of the Ark to implant a message for G1-Megs to then put onto the disk later but.........

 

Okay, i\'m lliking this internal art for Beast Wars way more than the pseudo TF Animated style.
I liked Animated but the style doesn\'t fit for BW.
