I recommend getting the Encore version. If you ever want to resell your Megatron, a loose bootleg is worthless, but the reissue will probably maintain its value, if not go up in value. Plus bootlegs likese these are never the same quality as the originals.

But, if I haven't changed your mind, I would go for the one with the extra gun parts. I'd go with it it because it has the extra gun parts, I've heard good things about it, and knockoffs that come in that sort of packaging are generally higher quality than carded knockoffs.

The one with the extra parts also specifies that it has some metal parts. The other one specifies that it does not.

Edit: Of course, there are other factors. Like one costing $10 and the other $20...

Hmm, I just got a g1 megatron for $23. Even it's used the quality should still be better than KO. Why don't you just get a used g1, there're good deals out there sometimes.

I actually have the first one and it's pretty lousy quality. The second one, however (Destroy Monarch), I've heard good things about.

Actually from what I read, Destroy Monarch is quite loose. Most people suggest to get it only for the gun parts.

i have the destrot monarch code 007 one.......

got it for 15 bucks shipped, stripped the orange paint off the barrel, repainted his face, and stickered him up with reprolabels and now i have an anime accurate megs.......

plastic quality is great on it, it has diecast in all the right places, his legs are a little loose. but nothing that will hinder posing him. at least on mine anyways

i say get the destroy monarch, hopefully you can still get him for around 15 bucks, totally worth it

I'm with B.P. on this. I used to have the 007 one, and it held up well, even though the legs are a bit loose. And mine even came with a purple Decepticon Matrix...

I'm getting the 007 one and am planning on reproing him up.

Now the orange is actually painted and not molded? Excellent. Thanks guys.

Edit: Won it for $19.99 pretty good. Not as good as 15, but still.

    Thanks!

While that particular one was loose all over, hopefully mine will stick with just the legs.

    Nail polish here I come!

I have the second one. Incredibly loose/floppy. He doesn't stand up very well.

its not that hard and the only thing that is floppy in robot mode when he is put together RIGHT are his knees

I agree with Bumble Prime. A touch up here and there, and poof. instant G1.
although I miraculously was able to get a legit megatron for 15 shipped, which kinda makes my $20 KO look overpriced, but with all the rage over the highquality KOs, I'm not complaining.

I used 90% rubbing alcohol, some paint on the face, poured superglue into the knees/shoulders and kept moving them till it dried, made some homemade stickers, left the chest bare, and called him an MC-13.

maybe i should make a video review...
