Considering it’s more posable, has retractable chest guns, apparently an LED in the chest, and may do something different with the chrome parts so there’s no chipping, then I’d say they might be trying to market to the upgraded KO market.

Well I have the original and the Perfect Effects version (6 copies of the mold) and my love of the original is mostly due to the sheer shininess of the transmetal paint.

I sincerely hope that TransArt changes their mind and make this bad boy much bigger so I can fit him into the opposite corner of where Winged Dragon is in a similar sized big cabinet. JX maybe out of the game (of screen accuracy) due to copyright so it looks like TransArt are it for now, so please, please, please make this the definitive version of Optimal Optimus and I will gladly buy two as I've done for your other masterpiece scaled products. And then another two of the Primal Prime repaints as well as two of the Nemesis/Black Primal repaints... something so cool about this mold being BIG. It suits his design (probably why PE version feels so underwhelmed).

PS as you can see Transmutate is in the left lower corner by Megatron and I have yet to open it as I just got it the other day.
Come on TransArt, my money is waiting to be spent on your good masterpiece sized products. Please come through as you have done before and you will continue to build your royal fan base.

I'm just praying that Perfect Effects DOESN'T come out with a shiny transmetal paint version of their overly complex transformation OpOp.

As someone who doesn't collect MP scale BW (I don't want my beast era figures to be that big), I'd personally love it if Transart made a line of figures that were just improved versions of the originals at the same scale.

Although, honestly, they should just produce all their figures at both scales (it's not like TM Primal, Cheetor, Ravage, and Transmutate are too complex to be smaller figures, or like Op Op wouldn't work as a bigger figure). Doesn't make sense to be inconsistent.

There's a seller on ali with this guy for $60. Assuming I missed the PotP version and it's roughly the same price, is it worth it to pick up the transart?

Yeah DSFX is making MP size scale of BW figures and they are $200 a figure.

So far they have Terrorsaur, inferno being made now as well as scorponok, tarantulas, and silverbolt coming up.

That's a smaller figure than this one. The one this thread is about still in proto phase and not available yet.
That is a smaller one that is smaller than the PotP version. I use it with my legends sized BW figures.

Question: in the cartoons the bw were only 1/3rd the size of G1 characters so wouldn't legends figures be consider mp due to the accurate height range?
    Screenshot_20210511-150532_Samsung Internet.jpg Screenshot_20210511-150600_Samsung Internet.jpg
So anything mp height scale would be consider inaccurate when scale to mp g1 figures?

Yes would they so happen to be TE-MM01, 2, and 3? Rattrap, Blackarachnia, Scorponok? Because I have them and really love them.

Yeah, I'd always thought Winged Dragon and Beast Gorira were too large to be appropriately in scale. I'd always thought that, even with the massive change in size for those characters over the series, they were so much smaller to begin with that massive size changes would still make them a scoche smaller than G1 Optimus or Megs. Was this not the case?

Ive never thought the beast wars masterpiece figures were meant to scale with G1, I’ve always considered them to be their own collection. So jiang xings wing dragon is slightly under scaled in comparison to the collection it’s meant to be a part of!

Yeah exactly, BW MP isn't scaled to G1 MP.

Transform Element is the only one who's putting out G1 and BW figs that are actually more or less correctly scaled to eachother. Everything else has always scaled BW and G1 independantly of eachother.

That's my fault, I think I was a bit imprecise. I didn't think that they were meant to scale in terms of any sort of shared universe. I just meant that I'd thought that in the fan made charts that brought over G1 characters that Optimus was slightly taller than even Optimal. In any event, this one still is large enough that it won't look awful next to my MP-32, and I'm a sucker for light up gimmicks (hence my paying the late tax on Primal and Dinobot), so I'm in regardless.
