Yeah, unless we get darker, toy color repaint of Kingdom Cyclonus in Selects, that will remain as his "armada" for me.

 

Anyone else's Cyclonus have a loose waist swivel? It doesn't bug me that much because this guy is still such a home-run for me, but I'd be curious to know if this is something only affecting my copy. I mentioned it before but didn't think to actually ASK anyone else about it.

 

Mine has a slight degree of looseness, like it'll swivel with a nudge, but only a degree or two in either direction. Once it gets so far in either direction it just stops as if it had a normal amount of friction, and it takes a normal amount of effort to actually rotate it.

 

Found someone selling generations drift's sword. Decided to pick it up and give it to cyclonus. Absolutely no regret.

 

I got him today. His plastic feels so chunky and good in my hands. He looks fantastic, I love his colors, "bunny ears," back-lit eyes, and his facial expression. His arms and wings are a bit of a pain, but that's okay. I'm very pleased with him. He's tall too!

 

You can fold his wings back behind the shoulders using the double hinge, and also fold back the back edge of the wing for a smoother profile.

I waited until I found Galvatron before opening Cyclonus and they do well together, however I couldn't stand Cyclonus' face sculpt. It was way too long and he had a neanderthal chin. I don't yet have the guts to start plastic surgery on his face, as well as cutting off and sanding down the chest peg. I opted for the fix from earlier in the thread by giving him his soul patch to break up the large patch of chin and I think this is a decent fix for now. This is non-permanent as it's a piece of white vinyl electrical tape with purple paint on it. Galvatron was given his goatee as well so they can be beard BFFs.

 

Highly recommend the Toyhax set for Cyclonus!

 

Any 3Ps working on a kit with the samurai helmet yet?

 

I really like this guy but I also think he desperately needs some extra color in alt mode. Maybe some gun metal at the engines or ports.

It's the best one i've seen so far to get an idw cyclonus for my lost light shelf. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on removing the decepticon symbol on his chest though. seems unholy to have idw cyclonus with a decepticon symbol.

Update: I got it to work very easily with isopropyl alcohol. NOT A DECEPTICON!

 

I saw this kit and was curious what the shoulder parts do in alt mode?

 

Just opened him and was excited to play around with him, but...

Has anyone else had a problem where his cockpit piece isn't actually flush with the piece it's mounted to, leading to it being hard for the wing/shoulder mount bits to close down and fit in, as well as just looking bad? I tried looking at the silver plastic cylindrical piece the cockpit is mounted on to see what the problem was, but I couldn't really tell. Any help that could possibly get him functioning properly would be appreciated.

 

EDIT: to clarify, I've tried just pushing the cockpit piece down, but that doesn't seem to help. It also almost seems to pivot back and forth on the cylindrical plastic piece.

 

I just took Cyclonus out of the box and it's a great toy! Definitely my pick for the best official toy of Cyclonus to date. Photos and video footage does not do justice to how good the figure looks in person. The plastic is nice and rugged. It's a toy that should survive for decades. The transformation is easy and intuitive but involved enough to feel satisfying going from one mode to the other. All in all, a very good toy and a must have for any fan of the character and the movie/season 3 characters.

 

Holy he'll this dudes awesome. I'd been sleeping on him, as I was need big on Decepticons, but he kept hanging out on the shelf every time I would go to check for sludge. I caved, and he is the same kind of wonderful as HotRod. He is complex enough to be engaging, while still being straightforward and fun. He looks screen accurate in both modes. Love.

 

I like the blue accents on his horns and abdomen.
Might pick up the set.

 

Also the Universe 2 version has the better head sculpt. I will fight people on this.
