That's actually a VERY good point. While I expect a couple of molds to eventually be repainted into other characters, there's no way they can do it with shitty leftover A/E/C molds and pass them off as "new" Animated figures the same way they have done with Classics, Movie & Universe. That'll be a nice and equally welcomed change of pace.
I've loved every Animated toy I've seen so far, but this one is the weakest for me. It just doesn't seem as clean as the rest. But that ain't gonna stop me from buyin' it!!
Simply amazing. I think I'm more excited about Ratchet than any other TFA figure (with the possible exception of Leader Bulkhead). Aww, man. They released the official bucket already? I missed it. Heh. Hehehehehehehehehhh! (And I LIKE Armada Smokescreen.)
Why would they want to? That's what they'll do in the upcoming Universe line that runs parallel with this one.
I didn't say they would want to. I just expanded upon nkelsch's comments that at least the possibility of it happening in this series isn't there thanks to the drastic design differences.
Well, the movie line is a different enough style that repainting from other lines seemed unlikely, but BAM! - store exclusive Energon and Cybertron repaints. I don't expect repaints from other lines in Animated, but I wouldn't rule it out for sure. I do expect at least a few in-line repaints, just 'cause that's how Hasbro does things. The molds are all rather distinctive, so I don't know whether to expect new characters or new takes on old ones (Do we get "Cliffjumper" or "Stealth Rocketeer Bumblebee"? )
I am seriesly considering going to collect the whole line of Animated if the figures continue to look like this. must resist urge to buy toys.
Great figure. Poseability looks pretty good with this line. To think we only have to wait 4 more months (almost) before we see these in stores. The anticipation is rough.
