Meant to post this earlier, looks like within the next week pre-orders will go up on Fans Hobby's site for the fire guts!

 

Hmm... Possibly at $330 USD for the complete set (based on Powerbaser and Godbomber as two separate releases when it was offered) or less?

 

I'm assuming $330-$340+. FH site themselves might have it "cheaper" but the shipping usually makes that lower price a wash.

 

Their prices plus shipping often still work out cheaper than Web shops in the UK...

 

Nice! In the US it seems they come out like $3-6 cheaper. Like Black Power Baser on their Site was gonna be $204 after shipping costs to US, which is only $6 cheaper than US sites and would take a lot longer to show up. Though Nightbeat ended up being $10 cheaper than retail in the US so I guess it has something to do with the size and weight more than anything.

 

Even though overseas pricing is cheaper, the S&H usually kills it to get it shipped to American shores (depending on which service you prefer as SAL is out of the question right now).

 

Everyone else is eagerly awaiting Fire Guts; meanwhile I'm just chilling out with regular Ginrai.

If Fans Hobby decides to do a Magnus version (with a proper car carrier trailer), would there still be anyone getting it or pass?

KFC Citizen Stack or Fansproject’s version (the name totally escapes me right now) doesn’t fill the empty void that some collectors want.

 

So an Ultra Magnus in the fanshobby aesthetic reusing the core bot from this, but with a new trailer to achieve an Ultra Magnus combined mode?

Yeah I'd probably buy it.

Probably pass to be honest, it'd still look like Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus Prime in Magnus colours even with a proper trailer.

 

The cab, certainly. That's kind of Magnus' thing - being a white Optimus Prime. There's a precedent for that redeco, though - Perfect Effect Core Magnus is just a Jinrai Prime redeco, but it works very well. But a new trailer could completely change the supermode to an authentic Ultra Magnus.
