I wouldn’t want to criticize very much yet at this point when this isn’t a finished product yet, but as far as I have to say that the first thing I noticed was the cannon legs that look pretty thin. That is, perhaps fragile? Or if they end up been loose, could it cause problems? Well, but let’s see and follow what comes of this.

Anyone else thought? \"Fat Galvatron\" those thighs are thick and the chest and waist is as if he had one too many beers.

 

Is it a replacement when Sovereign was never in contention in the first place?  

I liked the looks of Sovereign when FT first revealed the robot mode, but the moment they showed off that joke of an alt-mode, I ducked out.

Well, to be completely fair, Galvatron’s altmode IS a complete joke and an afterthought. Bond Villain Space Laser? Yeaaaaah… lol

I think Sovereign is a sort of unique case, as the sheer disparity between his robot mode and alt mode will create a sharp divide between people depending on how much they actually care about alt mode.

For me personally, if Sovereign was able to transform into a cannon mode like Abaddon's then I wouldn't swap him out, as both robot modes have strong points that cancel each other out. But as it stands, Sovereign's alt mode is just..too unsatisfying. Usually Fanstoys nails both modes so well that it feels worthwhile to put up with the troublesome transformations, but with Sovereign it's like they only cared about robot mode. It's especially strange when you compare him to Quietus, who has an immaculate alt mode.


Galvatron's cannon mode was used in such an iconic way in the movie, plus it's such a unique mode in general, I really want a Galvatron figure with an alt mode that actually looks like it's supposed to.

 

Please please please let XTB have fixed their QC because I need all of these recent reveals but I don't want them to crumble. I will absolutely replace Sovereign with this guy if he's good.

Absolutely stunning. It feels like a TT product just from the pure look wise.
I thought they fix the turtle mouth in render shots...and it seems the face sculpts look vastly better in the render shots put out a few days ago, those expression in the render shots are simply perfect, must be something lost when transit into the physical thing.
