Hmm? I actually like the color scheme, it's just obvious that the image provided isn't real. As it is, I may attempt to replicate the colors using one of my [far too many] MCX HeMan figures that I bought, yesterday actually, for really cheap.
It's actually not. I went back and checked the original image. There's no halo around the feet. It's just an artifact from shrinking the image down. Guys, I think you might be putting way too much thought into this. I assumed most of you had read the other thread. Clearly not. BTW, "just recolored?" Bro, that took some work.
I didn't "miss the waistband." This was only supposed to be a mock-up to go with the art. Not really going to go pixel by pixel to take out the halo of the waistband. This was like the side project of the side project.
I do love that the posts about the new stuff here are all hopeful and positive, and every MOTU place I've gone is freaking out. I cannot wait to see what happens when the eventual equivalent of MOTU Rescue Bots comes out and they're forced to realize it's fantastic. That said, LOP Mer-Man and Clamp Champ arrived today and they are already involved in all of the kids' adventures. Fisto shows up next week and I cannot wait.
It's definitely a nice change. There's too much cynicism and entitlement in toy collecting. Seeing folks simply enjoy these toys as toys and actually have fun and share their enjoyment with fellow collectors is a good thing.
Origins Oo-Lar and Moss Man happening!!! Really wish they’d put effort into Skeletor’s armour like they did with the He-Man to make it more Alcala mini comic like. They have those shin guards from the LOP one just need a redesigned harness without the stupid straps and waist piece that has straps in the back too. Axel snuck the energy blade he used in the glowing skeletons art so if they get made, they’ll have it. It’s kind of cool having so many optional pieces to build your ideal one so early in the line. It took us years into Classics to get these type of options.
I know it's popular but I never liked Nietlich's Oo-lar and some of the Classics version of an aligned continuity. It'll always be OG or mini comics He-Man to me.
Wow, another slam dunk on the packaging artwork. Origins seriously has some of the best MOTU artwork I've ever seen. Love the teases for Moss-Man and Buzz-Off! I hope we get a full on Alcala Skeletor as well.
First time seeing this. At $50 it was an easy pass for me. If I was more into this line it is a great looking set though.
