Where can we even compare and contrast with what is already shown without being disrespectful? It’s one thing if people came out and said that Abaddon was trash but I don’t think I read anything of the sort. It seems to me, this far in, a pretty tame and constructive conversation as opposed to the ones I’ve seen in the past after some prototype releases.

In the extreme case, if anyone was going to go off the deep end about Sovereign, wouldn’t you rather they be dumb about it here than be a troll in the thread where everyone is excited?

I think we’ve seen a lot less toxicity here lately (but definitely an increase in juvenile stupidity) and I hope it can continue.

 

I differ in my choices. Sometimes I prefer Takara, sometimes FT (eg hoodlum and rouge, also koot and Quietus) sometimes XTB (Berserkars... I double dipped! Andras, Peaen and Aegis). So I'm not a single-company guy. Here, I don't think I'll be changing my Galvatron. Sure, XTB will be more posable, there's no doubt about it in my mind. What I dislike is the panelling on his chest and abdomen. In smaller figures I can look past it (think XTB Breakdown), especially if the figure's cool (and their breakdown actually is much more fun than I anticipated, though I still hate that beige and would prefer a white), but on a large figure, in such a prominent place it bugs me. Maybe it'll look better with paint. I also dislike the feet and angular lower shins.

Still, though not interested I do hope he works out well, and actually I'd like to see how he looks with paint

I am right there with you. Whatever looks cool to me and my wallet gets to be on my shelf.

 

I don’t feel like that’s what I was doing at all. I acknowledged that Abbadon’s alt mode will be much better than Sovereign’s. I said that I was reserving judgment on the robot mode until a colored physical object was available for review. The faces and the head... I doubt that any color or finish of paint is going to fix the shape and overall look for me.

I know that exact feeling of literally watching the piece hit the ground and … poof! Gone. Pulled into another dimension through a miniature worm whole leading to the planet of tiny bits. I’ve had bits turn up on the other side of the room somehow in the past, as though they’ve warped there like through a Dr Strange time portal???

I love my Sovereign and I think he looks great with Quietus-T and Andras-M (or whatever he's called). The shades of purple/blurple/navy blue with the metallic paint is awesome. (Color in my picture seems to be weirdly saturated but gives a good idea nonetheless).

But I really wish he had this alternate face - I'd love to see someone take a crack at making it since FT is never going to make it. It has so much personality and isn't just rage/insanity.

 

That display is going to look even better with an FT Scourge and Fracas in there dude! Brilliant!

 

Thanks! Haven't quite finished it yet - need to add some cloud effects to the walls and back and add some flowing lava to a couple points but I'm pretty happy with it for my first attempt at diorama!

My worry with the FT Scourge is how tall he is going to be. XTB is fine - it's not going to win any awards but it fits the space. I've got an FT pre-ordered but if it doesn't fit the space..

Yes great display. Maybe an extra option: switch off the white LED's en install orange LED's from the bottom.

 

Need some inspiration. I find sovereign really difficult to come up with striking poses apart from the classic stoic A stance. I generally like all my figures in some sort of out there poses but I just really struggle with sovereign

I like it, because it has that air of him commanding his troops forward.
