It's pretty cool! Those legs don't seem like they would be able to support his body weight though. Does he stay in the water in robot mode?
he can in robot mode-and by straihtining them, he can wak through fairy deep oceans in robot mode. and while the seem like they cant take his weight, its cause hes meant for water-since some of him is in the water, the water can take part of the weight. he can go on and, but hes not very stabe when he does so.
Very interesting. I've seen quadraped Tidal Wave concepts before, and they seem to work best with this kind of huge robot. He'd need more than two legs to support his upper body weight. Is it just me... or does Tidalwave seem a bit... spindly? I'm just sort of getting a spindly vibe from him.
thanks, glad you like him! made him for that contest a while back, and i made him somewht spindly so hed be able to actually move around without destroying everything, and move somewhat quickly, unlike the gorrilla that is Move Devastator. plus i figured it would be easier to wade through the water with legs like that.
Yeah, I kinda get that they'd be useful in water. Now I see what you mean with the spindly legs. It makes him more agile and creepy, to be able to move that fast, when Devastator was a little bit more of a lumbering behemoth.
yeah, that was the goal. cant remember why i added the hanging cable things though-they felt like a good idea at the time, but now they seem somewhat out of place...
i was thinking of maybe touching it up some more, feels like something's missing, but im not sure what...
Was just looking at him again-kinda looks like he could fit in with TF: Prime guys as Megatron's next evil scheme! I need to make more of these guys, TW was alot of fun. who to make next...
Heh, just remembered I made this when I was like 18 in MSPaint. Probably the peak of my artistic talents. Forgot how cool he was lol
