I did like PRiD Bulkhead. Mostly because I didn’t get the FE Bulkhead till later, but still pretty good toy. I liked his weaponizer gimmick. I think I may have enjoyed fidgeting that thing more than Bulkhead honestly.

Uh, yeah, Knockout being a Jazz remold kills any hype I had for the figure honestly. I'm really not into this trend of "incorporate new character from other media into the main line as an easy repaint" like they did with Baricade from Prowl (no I don't care that he was based off a fan's artwork, it's lazy and screams "we don't actually want to design wholly new interpretations of these characters").

Are they at least going to nix the clear windshield for him since he had opaque windows? Least they can do is fix the mold's most inexcusable flaw.

But also this really doesn't give me much hope for UT characters to be new molds of their own. Even less so knowing that Armada Starscream is apparently a pretool of another character (again? Really?)

At this rate if they did end up bringing in the DJD they would all be repaints of G1 characters!

Finally this really doesn't bode well for Prime Arcee, and I think that's the worst part of this news. Guessing she'll be a weird pre-tool of an upcoming Classic Arcee 2.0 just in blue?

I know everyone's understandably tired of the negativity, but come on, this is a pretty big let down. Especially after Kingdom just gave Beast Wars fans incredibly faithful show accurate designs of those characters. You're telling me those fit in perfectly with G1 designs? That really isn't an excuse.

Ahhhh, but have you ever tried posing her in combined (Orthia / Elita-Infin1te) mode? Try to do that, and those weak, saggy hips / shoulders (knees and toes) will quickly disabuse you of these mistaken notions of adoration for the figure. As a stand-alone on the shelf, I think she’s not bad; but as a combiner with the rest of the Femmebot team, she’s absolute hell on my patience.

I liked POTP Elita-1, sort of an upgraded/reimagined version of the character.

Metroplex, 100%. As the resident Cybertron fan this is my chance to prove my money is valuable, not to mention metroplex himself was always high on my list

Gotta say that a lizard that turns into a motorcycle sounds very inticing. Knock Out and Jhiaxus as well. If James Gunn were to ever do a Transformers movie in the same vain as The Suicide Squad I'd love to see Iguanus in it, seems perfect for something like that

The issue with Fangry’s knees (from what I’ve heard; I haven’t had the chance to fiddle with the figure yet) is not mold degradation; rather, it’s the remolding used for Fangry, since his thighs are skinnier.

Mostly the upcoming Beast Wars stuff, I'm beyond excited for completing the entire season 1 rooster, and it's nice to be getting an affordable Transmetal 2 Megatron (I was daydreaming about getting Perfect Effect's Mega Doragon)..
I'm curious about the upcoming Prime "homages", because I'm among those that image G1 versions of certain characters from other continuities
If Netflix Soundwave is indeed repacked in this, then It'll be an obvious purchase.
Laser Optimus is also interests me, because it's one of my favorite Optimus Prime designs ever, so I'm hyped for him and Scourge

For me, the Prime characters (regardless of how they turn out just having those characters on shelves makes me happy), Armada Starscream, Crankcase, Skids, Minerva, Elita, Antferno, and Menasor. Laser Prime, Dragon Megs, and Tarantulas are slightly lower down on the list for me than those others, but still very high up.

Personally, I'm not sure I understand this idea of wanting figures to all share the same aesthetic because they'd fit together on a shelf. But then again, to each his own. Perhaps it's just that we have a very different interpretation of what makes a character a character. To me, and many others, style is pretty much fundamental to a character's identity, or at least a specific interpretation of a character. Movie Prime is Movie Prime not because he's red and blue and turns into a truck. He's Movie Prime because of his bayformer style and aesthetic.

Reinterpriations in the form of repaints/retools are cool and all, but those would be best reserved for Botcon exclusives and the like. Another example, Timelines Transmutate is cool and all, but she'll never be a substitute for an actual Transmutate figure, no matter how much she fits in better with other figures. At the end of the day, I think many Knockout fans would have been far more accepting of this news if they actually had given us a half-decent Knockout figure before this.

Beast Inferno is the biggest want I've had for a while now.

I'm very interested to see Iguanas and the Energon monsters. But I'm very excited to see Elita-1, Laser Optimus, Bulkhead, and Knockout. I'm also intrigued to see Jhiaxus, but I'm keeping my hopes astronomically low for him.

Cybertron Metroplex and Laser Optimus, with Armada Starscream a cautiously optimistic second place. If he's good though he'll shoot up to a fearful first, due to the numerous repaints I'll need to grab.

Here's a dirty little secret: Hasbro considers all versions of any given character to be just one character. That's why they're so loose with their likenesses all the time. If it has attributes that match more than one version of the character, it's usually good enough. That's why it's taken so long to get even the G1 characters' likenesses right. And I fear that it may be just as long to get everyone else's likenesses right.

I've waited for an era like this one, the one that Siege kicked off, where the characters I grew up with would be represented faithfully in the toy line. People have constantly been telling us that "Classics X is good enough", or "You should be satisfied with the Combiner Wars version of X". Some still say that to this day. For those of us who have went through that, we all should be standing with all of you loyal Transformers Prime fans who face the same crap now in Legacy. I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I'm with you. It may be a long time before getting the updates that you want, but know that you're not alone, and you have other fans that are willing to support you. If that helps.

    Cheers, fam.

I have a hard time picking an early favorite. Cybertron Metroplex is up there, a Motormaster that transforms more akin to the original...

I guess I pick the Prime/Animated characters, though, if only because I'm curious what they would do differently here.

I would pick Tarantulus over most of the list if he's Transmetal.

Also, please please please get us a Cybertron Red Alert out of that Crankcase
