Yes. Very annoying especially when I have dozens of pre-orders and many of the items are same price. I was going through the many pages on my order history last week and I found a Kingdom Tracks on like the fourth page that I forgot about. I canceled it since I found Kingdom Tracks in March at retail.

 

Woot! Just got shipping notification for G2 Ramjet as well.  

 

Got shipping notice for Kingdom Red Alert at like 530 this morning. lol. They Must start work early! He's coming from their georgia warehouse.

 

Same. Red Alert went out yesterday, and RED Starscream and Bee may show up today. Busy week for Pulse...

For all those getting their G2 Ramjets & Red Alerts from the Georgia warehouse. Be prepared to recieve your small toy package delivered in a huge shipping box. Happens 50% of the time for me. An 8x7x3 inch toy box is shipped out in a box the size of a washing machine with a gazillion air bags in them. They must have gotten an incredible deal on oversized shippers & air pillows.
 

 

How about it? I ordered back in January as a Christmas present for my kid this year. Now that it's delayed to November I'm not gambling on it. Cancelled and ordered from ToyDojo for the same total price in stock..

I got shipping notice. Dorkside doesn't charge sales tax?!?! I got him for less than I would have through Pulse! THANK YOU FOR SUGGESTING THEM.
How the heck do they even get away with not charging tax with the Supreme Court bringing the axe down on online retailers??

 

Got mine too, though i'm not gonna cancel my Pulse order until I have it inhand

 

They only have to charge sales tax if they have a physical brick'n'mortar (store or warehouse) location in your state.

 

My two Red Alerts are on the way.  

 

That ruling was changed recently (2 years now?). States are allowed to collect sales tax from all online sales.

 

While I do believe that's correct, I don't think it's the case that all websites are required to collect that tax on their end (for later delivery to the states in question) unless there's an on-site presence in that state (as suggested by the previous post). Rather, if sales tax is NOT collected at purchase, the buyer is supposed to account for it when completing their state income taxes each year (you can imagine how rarely this is actually done, of course).

 

Thats not how that works.

On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court fundamentally changed the rules for collection of sales tax by Internet-based retailers. In its decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc., the Court effectively stated that individual states can require online sellers to collect state sales tax on their sales.

Below link has the requirements for each state for charging the tax.
