I really appreciate how the wheels are handled without partsforming by twisting the biceps and thighs 180 degrees. That’s something I wish the new Hasbro voyager did.

Are they the same company who made KO Sharkticons ? Incredible even the KO companies making their own designs

Yes, sorta. MFT is like a record label, and Mechanic Toys/Studios is like a band whose record MFT is producing.
I might make them, if they aren't too difficult to swap out on the figure. I'd also consider doing alternate head sculpts and weapons for a Junk posse.

Got the pay off notification from ShowZ this morning, but ultimately decided to cancel my order on this guy. When I went back and looked at the figure, it just wasn't a $45.99 draw for me. I'll save the cash for Springer and Hot Rod.

45 bucks for a wreck gar is laughable at best. i dont understand these new prices and stuff.

MFT's draw was that they made great bots at a reasonable price. but if you take the affordability part out of the equation.

they just make so so looking bots that are over priced for what you get design wise.

Agreed. And I'm hopeful that it's just Mechanic Studio that is on the higher end of the scale, as most of their figures I can usually pass on. It made a little more sense when the Mechanic Studio releases came with the little mech suits, etc., but if they're not doing that anymore, there's no reason their stuff should still be priced like it is.

It kind of makes me wish they would spin of Mechanic Studio entirely, sort of like Hot Soldiers used to be.

    Edit:
I was lumping "Vecma" into this assessment. Admittedly, there are a few Mechanic Studio releases I really do like quite a bit.

With this rate I will just finish up the headmasters and triple changers and keep MFT out of my collection for the most and keep it to what I have.
I was fine collection both MS and MFT if they stayed on price but if they start to charge this much, might as well just skip them and keep it with MS.
Really like MFT but they are not worth that much money (yet), they need to improve materials and tolerance on their figures with solid clean look for that IMO.

that doesn't make sense. how is it that your pre-order costs more than it is now? :p

Yeah, no clue. I'm not heartbroken though. $40 is a little better, but still beyond what would make it worth it for me.

Pricing on this is questionable when I just paid $30 for the CHUG version.

I gave up trying to compare Hasbro prices to 3P legends prices years ago.

True. I wouldn't typically make the comparison, but Wreck-Gar transformations typically are pretty similar (mostly).

Engineering is only part of it. When Hasbro makes a figure, they serve a huge market. 3Ps serve much smaller markets which means the same mold has fewer sales to recoup the cost of the engineering and mold making.

Understand what you're saying, but this mold can literally be used like 5 times for the Junkions. And market share also doesn't account for an MFT figure being almost $15+ more than a few years ago.

Legends has about run me off. I’m chugging nowadays but do check in to see what’s going on. $40 for wreckar is horseshit.
