I saw the new images too. I was already getting her anyway, but I really like the new accessories she comes with. I do hope she at least comes with different facial expressions too.

 

I think he means like how JAZZ's visor is. Where he doesn't have actual eyes showing just the visor itself.

 

Yes exactly. The visor isn't over the eyes, it is the eyes.

That said, a permanent visor over the eyes -like Nautica- is a good look too.  



And yes I'm fully aware I'm being greedy for more Arcee/Nicee coolness. Sue me.

I'm interested in at least one too, maybe with a couple of different faces, depending on what you come up with. I already have a 3D head from a prior run, but I do like the larger eyes on yours.

 

I would absolutely be in for an angry face specifically, the lack of it with the released head design has been my biggest issue with the figure ever since it came in. Your head is also in my opinion the best looking Arcee sculpt for this figure that I’ve seen so far, so that makes me extra interested.

Price is definitely a factor but for me the quality is the number one priority so if that comes with a higher cost then imo that’s perfectly okay, and I’m sure that wouldn’t be an unpopular opinion.

 

Well, I have good news for everyone (not so great for myself), I have been very reluctant about this, but have decided to put up Nicee for sale.
Don't get me wrong, the sculpt in vehicle and robot mode is amazing, but due to curious queries from my partner, I need to sell this off, before anything tragic happens to the figure (it's in vehicle mode BTW).

So, I haven't gotten a proper replacement for the serious head, as there is a slight red hairline paint defect on the cheek. I am including, for free (wasn't free for me though), a custom 3D print head painted which comes with the red visor. I believe this was a one-off custom made, by a board member here.

Anyway, I'll post more pics in the auction, when I get a chance to find the extra head.

 

If it had a "Buy it Now" option, I'd have nabbed this myself. but...

Can you by chance post the head here? i'll know really fast who made it. only 2 members where sellign heads to people here.

For instance @Zyros head didn't come apart because he designed it himself to be that way. @NothingHead's head was from the Head files I originally posted up here that, @XIII busted his rear to go in and fix up so the files could be more usable. this was a massive project last year that took a ton of effort to get out. Around the same time some scammer promoted high quality Arcee head for NICEE that never got made, yet tons of folks put them up for preorder.

So yeah, please post some photos of your custom head if at all possible.  

 

As I understand it, the buy it now option goes away once people start bidding. You can either bid hoping for a lower price or just nab it for the higher buy it now price.

I didn't know that someone had gone through the trouble of fixing up the file to be usable. Did he make the fixed version readily available? If so, I feel stupid for putting in the time to do it myself. Do we know that it was a scammer who was offering that head that all the pre-orders were based on, or might it simply be vaporware? Either way, I cancelled my pre-order for it and started working on my own. Need to get back to work on it but I hit creative funks every now and then where I just don't feel like it (I call it a creative funk but it's probably just some kind of undiagnosed depression/adhd/whatever thing - I have been feeling pretty meh about just everything for the past week or so).

 

Sorry to hear it, bro. For all those people who said there was nothing wrong representing femininity this way, it seems it can cause some harm! I certainly got a raised eyebrow from my wife when I bought this. Did anybody else get unusual reactions from partners?

 

Yeah my wife tried to appropriate nicee.

 

Yeah, my girlfriend wrapped her in a washcloth. Looked she was wearing a towel. lol.

 

Mine was kinda' dramatic. When the first pics went up and they were focused pretty squarely on the ... anatomical areas, my wife's online friend group came upon them and had a laugh at the "porn bot" so that made things start off awkward when she asked me if I wanted to get it and I said yes. She would always say that she wouldn't stop me, but she didn't like it and, for me, that was enough to stop me from getting it. Ultimately I think what got her to relent was when her sister was ok with her husband getting it (he said it resembled some anime girls or mecha or something from some cartoon or game he liked) but I still wouldn't say she's thrilled about it. One of my creative projects that I pick up every now and then is trying to design a replacement chest for her and, I won't say that my wife sounds eager whenever it comes up, but she certainly seems to approve of replacing the chest.

 

I had considered replacing the chest piece with a 3D print custom hood part. However, that still would not have satisfied her. Funny thing, is that she thinks no one else buys these female Transformer figures. Oddly enough, she hasn't said anything about my set of three customized Nicee styled Generations Chromia. I could post a pic of them here...if that's okay with the Mod and everyone else here.

 

 

I'm reminded of Show Z's original description of this toy, which went something like "Dayum! Just dayum! How are you going to explain this purchase to your wife?!" It's so funny to hear people's actual explanations!

I know a few collectors that don't collect TFs, but wanted to add Nicee, but couldn't do to their partner. They collect Bishujo, anime, & super herione statues and figures. Their other half don't have a problem with those. But a voluptuous female robot figure!!!  
OMG, a line must be drawn somewhere!!!  

 

It's interesting how this figure reveals so much about what people consider appropriate or offensive. I showed my girlfriend pictures of Nicee when she was first announced and she was unsurprisingly cool with me getting it - I ended up passing due to not caring much about Nicee. Of course the racer/maid repaint? Absolutely getting that one. It's funny that it can either be totally fine and normal or a weird, offensive sex object depending on who is looking at it.
