Well I'll be damned! That is a very clever, ingenious transformation. I've always wondered how the tailfins collapse. I'm glad I went with this. Now the waiting game til he's released

Meh. Happy to keep my MP52.
This one, to me, looks cheap and plastic whereas the Mp52 looks like a collectors piece.
However, this one isn't too bad for the price if the transformation isnt a total nightmare

 

Happy with my MP52, but this looks amazing... So I'm down for the Thundecracker and Skywarp versions assuming they get done!

 

Yesterday @Magnusfan Nujevad mentioned the hips being behind the chest in alt mode (first post I saw about it at least) so I wondered where the arms went, and tucking into the legs briefly crossed my mind, but honestly I had dismissed it because I didn't think it could be right. Clearly I underestimated them.

There has been a lot of talk about transformation elements coming from the NewAge version, but seeing how the nosecone is taken care of reminds me of the Magic Square engineering. Taking the best parts from past versions and mixing them together is a good plan.

Just to be certain you know, this is noticeably taller than MP-52. Some people have expressed concern about the idea of mixing the two molds with the height difference. I expect we will get a side-by-side shot not too long from now to see it exactly (rather than comparing each to the same figure). If the height difference is okay for you that's great, I just want to make sure you are aware of it going in.

 

I also have mp-52.
But if this guy is better, i'm buying the trio from deformation. And will be keeping my mp-52 in his box.

 

Why not just sell it?



Anyway, the transformation on this looks crazy, part of me wants to experience it. Arms collapsing on the legs has got to be a first for a seeker.

You know....... in case Takara might be bought by FT and MP52 become one of FT's product, the profit could be tremendous.

If I can't justify something being on the shelf, I sell it and put it towards something else deserving of the placement.

So, this looking amazing in both modes, plus being IMO a better size... I was just gonna replace my Starscream, but now I'm giving ALL my MT Seekers the side-eye.

Must... resist....

Also, I'm cool with Starscream being the biggest, strongest Seeker. It justifies his desire to usurp Megatron.

 

I want this guy so bad. Here's hoping they stick the landing on qc

small detail but i like how this Starscreams top of the robot mode cockpit curves in towards the neck, whereas MP-52’s plateaus off at the top

 

even if the price was equal, i'd go with the DS design over TT.

 

The altmode is a step up from the official, but I think only a small one. Transformation looks good. Arms go in the legs! Why hadnt anybody thought of that before now.

Posability: looks pretty even so far. DS has waist swivel; MP52 has better ab crunch.

Actual jet canopy on the chest instead of a fake shell: 50 bonus points to DS.
