I got mine a while ago and there are still sometimes copies out there but I order from Germany and what works nice for me may be a no-go for folks located in the US so I leave it to others to comment on whether or not you still get one to be shipped to the states for a reasonable price tag.

Hey so I was thinking the other day, occular max feels less like an mp alike line and more like it's own thing that's similar to mp. How do you all feel about that idea?

How I feel...
Ocular Max has 4 different lines currently:

Ox- Perfect Series which is their MP G1 figures. Completely MP I personally feel. I don't like this line at all, but never was a g1 fan.

Ox- Remix which is just cassette tapes
Which both Rmx and PS lines I don't like. And I think they are the size of real cassette tapes which would make them oversized mps. As they wouldn't fit in an mp scale soundwave I think.

Ox- Unlimited is MP scaled big bot line (any big bot tf they want to do from all cartoons and media) which I prefer over Rmx & PS. With only 1 figure out from this line I can't make a judgment call on anything until I at least see other figures.

Ox- Infinite Finity which is their artist free for all line. Which is re-imagined existing & new characters, in new alt molds, designs, fractions, genderswap, colors and more. Total artist control. Which I feel is going to be in mp qualities in a mixture of scales along with other liberties being taken to create amazing figures (works of art.) Which I completely love and support.

Still though MMC reformatted is my favorite line from them and I think of all times. Not Mp scale with a few exceptions that could be passable as Mps like Carnifex.

I have a question as legends are slowly becoming more articulated, made with diecast, having more detail, and some even using the same cad files just shrunk down with some modifications like with cang toys predaking. If and remember IF the qualities, materials, paint applications, transformation are all the same as MP figures, are MPs now really becoming just a size scale classification?

 

I still would love if/wish Reformatted had sublines like for example maybe a subline dedicated for earth modes or to a specific comic run (LSOTW, etc.).

 

Agreed like when they did Heart of Steel, knight morphers, they could make new verison of Loco optus pexus to pay homage to mmc KM-01, as well as the scourge zeppelin.

Or even more impress beast wars subline old and new comic, like grimlock and others from old and Nyx from new comics.

Finish up the wreckers and include tarantulas and Tidal Wave whale.

There so many tf comics to pull from. But I think reformatted is just that, it's them not only pulling from mtmte/LL but all media. What I would like to see Is them finding more unique ways to bring us characters we want with remolds. Like getting wing from drift and all the other figures that came from that base mold. Example Like a pharma remolded into starstream into seekers into tyrest. A natuica to scourge. A skids to trailblazer. A cyclonus 2.0 duel pack with tailgate. Anode remold to Nyx. Riptide because we have no boat yet in reformatted line.

 

I was still surprised Pharma never got made from the Drift mold. He seems like he could be an easy retool after what they pulled off with Ratbat and Wing.

So I see the Vos and Kaon reissues did actually make it to people...except BBTS.

Why are you still using BBTS for anything but in-stock stuff? Just cancel, order them off of TCP or Toy Dojo, and get the hell out of BBTS' never-ending wait cycle. I now use BBTS' slow speed purposefully for stuff I don't want to pay for for a while.

 

I always drop a preorder with BBTS when I see stuff in case I miss it at any retailer with a rewards program and reasonable stocking speeds.

 

Wouldn't work is why. They transform too differently. Pharma's basically a cross between a seeker transformation and a cyclonus transformation since his torso flattens out to become his nose/cockpit and his arms shift downwards so his shoulders can sit beside the formed nose section. His legs plug in his arms yes like Aero but its in the reverse direction relative to the main body.

Same reason why Nautica wouldn't work from the Aero mold either, besides the body shape incompatibility, she too has to transform differently to how the Aero/Stray toy works.

 

Pharma deserves a new mold. Might be able to get a Seeker remold out of it. Two separate molds would be ideal though.

 

Because I want to be a stubborn bastard about this. Plus, the same reason you do - the slow speed. It's been already a pretty expensive month and looking to be more expensive with the Gunpla Expo next week. So really, if I don't have to pay the $170 for the two right away and ship them with the Figma that's already in my POL, that'd be great for the excuse of a budget I have.

 

So I think it'd be super cool if MMC licensed these designs from Frederic Pham Chuong for Infinite Finity...

(Though I get that feasibility wrt mass-shifting might be a bit tricky in some places.)
