Hopefully Jhiaxus isn't a shitty repaint.

Trying to sell 3 of them at deluxe price failed, so maybe this will succeed.

I feel like the bike trio might even be smaller than core class

I have no idea. Like 99% of the fandom (going by Ollies) I did not buy them.

More of a budget to make them better then, right?

Why? They were fine figures. Certainly better than the nightmares that were the original deluxes

But who would they even make in the Core/Commander price points in Studio Series?
A Core Class Exosuit and Wheelie would be nice, so as to apologise for those glorified accessories that came with Grimlock & Slag.
A Commander Class however is tricky to figure out... Probably some combiners like 86 Devastator and that big horn guy from TLK?

Considering what Kingdom Leader class Ultra Magnus turned out like, I’d argue a Commander (which is ironic, as he’s classed as City Commander!) class version of him would be needed to finally do him right in both modes.

And when it comes to Bayverse, I believe Stratosphere has been leaked as this next year’s Studio Series Commander figure.

BB Ravage was particularly mentioned for the line by leakers and we have a listing for him. We also have a Core listing for an '86 Rumble and a Wheelie that no one is sure what film he's from (because the Target listing says he's TF7 but it's way too early for anything from that film).

As far as Commander I believe the one that was talked about was Stratosphere but for him and Leader DOTM Warpath (along with other potential video game/toyline exclusive movie characters) to happen movie fans are going to have to support the upcoming Voyager Breakaway.

I don't think Stratosphere is actually on the table yet since it was said that he would only happen if Breakaway sold well and proved that there's a market for video game/toyline exclusive movie characters. Seems silly but that's what we've been told.

Mmmm, imagine a long trailer that actually fits more than 4 Autobot cars on it and still integrates into Magnus' bot mode. Tasty.

Has it been discussed yet if iguanus is G1 pretender or beast wars? Both would be cool but g1 may open the door on hasbro doing most/all of the pretenders which could really use a modern update.

it’s the g1 version. Apparently it’s going to be the bike that transforms into a bot that resembles the pretender shell.

I’d take that as the bot is a little passé, if they went this route with all the pretenders I’d be happy.

I mean all the original Pretenders look pretty generic in their core robot modes. The shells were always the appeal.

I hope you're just speaking for yourself here. I adore the inner bots.

Well I very much doubt the inner robots were the main draw. I don't think anyone bought Bludgeon, ripped off his shell and went "Yay, a generic green tank guy!"

I done that to a few Pretenders, I can believe someone done that to that specific one.

Some people do love generics. Why do you think troop builders are so popular? Those are the epitome of generics.

I liked playing with the tank robot, and was also ecstatic when the TFCC series was a combiner centered around a 'Bot Bludgeon (though based off Onslaught's CW mold)
