Pick up the 2 wind raiders at Target this afternoon. Opened one of them. I love the classics one though this one is a bit smaller which is cool. Love the display stand.
I just can't believe that after all these years we're finally getting a Savage Universe He-Man! Let me know when the preorders go up!
I'm saying bird poo on this... I mostly follow what is going on in the MOTU media and collectibles arena.... I've done some rudimentary research just to give a benefit of a doubt and I cannot find anything relating to either picture posted by ClunkerSlim.
Well the toy image is a photoshop edit. You can see the orange of the bracers. It appears to be an out of season April Fool's joke.
The card bubble is a dead giveaway... no indention to fit the mini comic..... That is what I immediately saw.. The artwork for the fake stories look good and I did a search that came up with nothing. Like I said I tried to give a benefit of a doubt while doing research.... I even went to the he-man.org forums for a hint on this and found nothing.......
Getting back to real Origins toys... So the is the entire 82 line reborn, the only omission is the back half of the Battle Ram.
I got my little batch of dudes from BBTS today and my buzz-saw Hordak has black cheeks, black eyeliner and black eyes with red pupils. I wonder why there are these variants? miscommunication at the factory due to wanting different heads for the regular and deluxe Hordaks? I'm fine with either style, anyway. now I've got Hordak, Trapjaw, Triklops, Merman and Man-E-Faces ready to hang out. the cyborg aspect of the various MOTU characters is pretty funky to think about. the line was never marketed as battle cyborgs or the like but it's a very common trait. when did "cyborg" become a popular toy word? by the mid-90's it definitely was but was it common in kids' media in 82? one thing that did surprise me is how large these actually are, seeing pictures and video reviews doesn't do this aspect justice. they're beefy boys, appropriately enough. now I'm really looking forward to seeing what flying fists He-Man is like, if we get the mantis robot mount and if they ever make Leech
Here's the haul that I got a few weeks ago but I was too sick with COVID to post. I am glad to be feeling better to enjoy these now, especially excited to finally have a Trap Jaw.
Trap Jaw is really a very good figure. the robot arm is surprisingly well articulated and the triple hands plus moving jaw give him a lot of expression. this is a fun figure. by comparison, Man-E-Faces is oddly dull despite having a many times goofier gimmick. I think it's because he only has a funky little pistol for an accessory. oh well, I love him anyway and might just have to consider buying a vehicle so he can do something.
The rubber thing is in one piece but his hips permanently flare out to the sides. Gives them extra sass
